To those arguing that capitalism is the only effective system that can sustain us economically, wait until “us” stops including you.

If you’re part of the middle class, it might be tempting to think that you are still part of this “us”. But, the real “us” don’t get bothered by the grocery price hike. And when you work harder just to buy the same number of haas avocado, your toil goes straight into keeping their wallet fat. by @dionmbd

Since graduating in 2019, I haven’t had a single day off. I kept working, making, teaching, and learning, but along the way, I was not sure anymore who or what I have become.

Then, early this month, I finished my first semester of business school postgrad and most of my illustration projects. So, I told my agent @chadwbecks that I need to take a sort of sabbatical until the end of the year.

I want to re-find my artistic voice and to help with that, I created this assemblage of 100 meaningful things.

This tiny internal spring cleaning has made me realize that some parts of me have remained the same, some others have evolved, and even more have changed.

I’m not sure how this realization will change my art making, but I’m excited to create more for myself this next 6 months! by @dionmbd

Things I think about late at night as at the business school, watching the knowledge I’m studying burn my country to the ground. by @dionmbd

“I don’t mind them watching. I never do anything wrong anyway.”
That’s the sentiment the younger me had when it comes to my data privacy.

But as I grew older, it really isn’t about what we do or don’t do wrong anymore.

This new level of privacy absence means all of our past actions can be traced back and rearranged to build a seemingly one-dimensional conclusive narrative about us.

But we are people, we are not concluded. We change. We are random. We are unpredictable.

And we need the space to be just that: human. by @dionmbd

How can comfort and luxury be so “common” that devastation and desolation are but afterthoughts?

How is it that I am browsing the next “statement piece” for my room while putting aside making a statement about the world going into pieces? by @dionmbd
