Earlier this year we were lucky enough to be invited down to a host a night at an East London institution. The venue, attendees and the party itself was an absolute joy. The lovely folk @tradese17 gave us a warm welcome and it quickly felt like home. So, we couldn’t be more pleased to announce we’ve been asked back for a 2nd round at the start of next month!

If you‘ve not yet had the pleasure of visiting, it’s a 100+ year old social club with a wooden sprung loaded dancefloor, and on nights like ours non-members are welcome. So, it’s also a unique opportunity to check out the spot while you’ve the chance.

Swipe for a few of the records you may hear on the night and come join us for Disco Freaks @tradese17 2/11/24 🎟️ 👉 taken in Walthamstow Trades Hall by @disco_freaks

Happy Birthday to the one & only @nilerodgers! ✨🎉

We launched Disco Freaks back in 2013 - the very same summer Nile, Pharrell & Daft Punk brought disco storming back into the zeitgeist with Get Lucky 🌟

We’re forever grateful for the music you’ve written and the endless list of superstars you’ve produced. Without Nile, we might never have met Chic’s powerhouse drummer, the legend @ralphrolle. He’s given us some of our best radio memories - from a BBQ cookout to offering to drum for us live on air. Fast forward 6 months and we were in the studio recording what became AXNÉR’s debut record… and later their 2nd, which also featured another Chic family member, the incredible @audreymartells, blessing Shout From The Rooftop with her vocals.

Thank you Nile - your influence runs deep. Cheers! Have a beautiful day! 🕺❤️

Happy Birthday to us! 🎉 🎂 🍻

Disco Freaks launched in 2013 when Get Lucky was absolutely everywhere. 13 years on we’re still feeling pretty lucky.

Big up everyone that’s supported us through parties, events, bookings, radio, releases & most importantly every person that’s joined us for a dance over the years.

We’ll be celebrating together @themildmayclub in November. We hope you’ll join us 🎉 taken in Hackney, London by @disco_freaks

Yep we missed it 🙃

It’s been a month but we’ve finally come to terms with missing the Disco Freaks shout out @nilerodgers @dreamlandmargate gig.

DJing the afterparty for the biggest names in disco in Matt’s hometown of Margate was a big enough bucket list moment, but as we had to leave the gig early to get ready to play we missed an even bigger moment..

On our way from the gig to the afterparty venue, texts came flooding through…the legendary drummer for Chic @drumrolle gave us a big old shout out on stage as he takes over vocal duties for their performance of David Bowie’s Let’s Dance.

Chic shouting out the Disco Freaks in Matty Margate’s hometown just before we soundtracked the afterparty. Didn’t picture that when we started this thing in 2013, the Summer of Get Lucky. Our 13th birthday is coming up, unlucky for some I guess… 🙃

Alas, that’s one big moment for the memoirs. We’re forever grateful to Ralph (and our friends for letting us know). Totally fine that no one filmed it, honestly. Maybe something’s are better left uncaptured?

That moment gave us the energy to power through an amazing weekend by the coast surrounded by lots and lots of lovely friends and cracking food.

And really is there anything cooler than strolling off to the afterparty while missing your biggest disco moment? Nope. Totally fine. Totally cool with it. Move it on. taken in Margate, Kent by @disco_freaks
