The landscape of our beloved Shere Hills is changing due to quarrying activities going on there. This is one of the most iconic locations on The Plateau and I hope something can be done about this.

This quarrying not only is affecting the unique ecological environment that is found here but it’s already beginning to have impact on the people living in the environs, which is a major challenge.

NIGERIAN CULTURAL HERITAGE MEETS THE FUTURE OF TECHNOLOGY!

What if we could preserve our cultural heritage, digitise our historical artefacts, and share our stories with the world using technology?

Here’s an opportunity to learn how!

The Wheyham Foundation, programme owner of the Heritage Connect initiative, invites individuals, private businesses, agencies, and organisations to participate in the U.S. Embassy Abuja Heritage Connect Virtual Technology Marketplace Registration and Experience Centre training.

This hands on virtual training will introduce participants to technologies that help preserve, digitise, interpret, and showcase Nigerian cultural heritage to a global audience.

From 3D artefact preservation and digital exhibitions to AI assisted research, immersive VR and AR experiences, and browser based galleries, participants will discover how technology can transform the way we protect and share our heritage.

⏰ Time: 9:00 AM WAT
💻 Venue: Live online

Participants who complete the training will receive a Certificate of Completion.
