Who has the Jamestown Civic-Center Craft Show on their radar?

The 52nd Annual event will take over the Civic Center on Sunday, November 8. Over 125 vendors and crafters from multiple states will be selling unique handmade items, crafts, and direct sales goods across the area, concourse, and meeting rooms.

The World's Largest Buffalo is officially 67 years old!

A project that started in April 1959 was completed in October that same year. Sculpture artist Elmer Petersen agreed to build the World's Largest Buffalo after local businessman Harold Newman insisted an attraction to stop motorists was needed.

At the time, the total cost of the project was $8,500; using steel beams, reinforcing rods, wire mesh, and gunite (sprayed cement). This 60-ton concreate giant stands 26 feet tall, 14 feet wide, and 46 feet long.

History echoes through the corridors of the 1883 Stutsman County Courthouse State Historic Site.

Built before North Dakota became a state, this historic site features several floors of information, interactive civics exhibits, and much more. Guided tours are offered different days of the week and now, the site remains open year round.

Renovations also continue. Soon, you'll be able to enter the clock tower for a sweeping 360 view of the Jamestown community as it was intended! We can't wait.
