Understanding the ins and outs of DWI charges in Texas is crucial for staying safe on the road. Several factors contribute to a DWI charge, and knowledge is your shield against unintentional violations.

Firstly, the legal blood alcohol concentration (BAC) limit in Texas is 0.08%. Exceeding this limit while operating a vehicle puts you at risk of a DWI charge, regardless of whether your driving seems impaired.

Even if your BAC is below the legal limit, if an officer believes your driving ability is impaired due to any substance, you can still be charged with a DWI.

Additionally, impairment isn’t solely about alcohol. Prescription drugs, over-the-counter medications, or illegal substances that affect your ability to drive safely can result in a DWI charge. It's not just about 'feeling' impaired; it's about being impaired.

Understanding these facts empowers you to make informed decisions and take responsibility for your actions behind the wheel. Educating yourself and others about the complexities of DWI laws in Texas is the first step towards safer roads and responsible driving habits. Stay informed, stay vigilant, and drive responsibly.

An SOP is a therapeutic program:
>Comprised of an intake that includes assessment and program eligibility followed by 12 consecutive group sessions led by a licensed chemical dependency counselor.
>The program meets weekly online. Students should reserve 3-5 hours weekly for class time and homework.
>The program meets the criteria of Pre-Trial Intervention agreements.

You can register for our SOP program today at https://bit.ly/SOP-info

🍺🤔 Ever wonder why that second drink hits you harder than the first?

Understanding alcohol absorption rates is key to responsible drinking. Here are some facts to consider:
1.	On average, the human body metabolizes alcohol at a rate of about 0.015% to 0.020% per hour. [Source: National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism]
2.	Food in the stomach can slow down alcohol absorption by up to 30%. [Source: National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism]
3.	Alcohol is absorbed more rapidly when consumed in concentrated forms, such as shots or straight spirits. [Source: University of Oklahoma]
4.	Carbonated alcoholic beverages can increase the rate of alcohol absorption. [Source: U.S. National Library of Medicine]
5.	Approximately 90% of alcohol is metabolized by the liver. [Source: Cleveland Clinic]
6.	Women, on average, have a higher percentage of body fat and lower water content, leading to slower alcohol absorption compared to men. [Source: National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism]

Stay informed, stay safe, and remember to enjoy responsibly.
