Growth in business and moving to the next phase isn’t easy. I wish I could tell you it’s roses and butterflies but it’s definitely one of the most difficult things I’ve encountered as an entrepreneur. As I transition from a home grown mom & pop into a formidable company structure, I entrusted the help of an operations strategist and below are some tips I recommend so you don’t lose your damn mind…
*Make your EXPECTATIONS clear by WRITING out your goals and making sure everyone is on the same page. I am the dreamer and creator of the team and my communication is a contrast to our operations strategist, stepping back and taking 24 hours to review and then verbally explain what we hear each others needs are was vital!!!
*COMMUNICATION is key!!! It sounds cliche but talk it over multiple times because differing perceptions can cloud the end result. (Can’t stress this enough, it will rip through the entire process if not).
*Create a TIMELINE. There needs to be a measurable timeline with goal markers and ways to ensure the plan is moving along according to the desired results.
*STEP back, not away but keep a distance to all for the process to unfold. This business has been my purpose and blood sweat and tears for 8 years….watching someone else handle it is gut wrenching.
