What a lovely day that was! 🫶🏼👀

A big thank you to everyone who joined us for the Flying HUB Open Day — for sharing food, laughter, conversations, watching Tymek’s film and getting to know each other. It was so lovely to meet you and spend that time together! And it was just as great to see some familiar faces who have been part of HUB for a while now 🧡

And now HUB is slowly coming to life! 🍜🧵 Our Cooking and Sewing Pathways have already started, but don’t worry — there’s still time to join! 🪡🥣

And if you feel like trying your hand at self-defence 🥋, that pathway kicks off in November, and registration is still open!

Oprócz spotkania w niedzielę odbyły się również narady przygotowujące cały jesienny cykl i drzwi otwarte 04.10 w @_miserart_ 👀

Robiliśmy przypinki, omawialiśmy strategię promocji i kminiliśy jak Was najlepiej ugościć. Energii dodawało nam ciacho zrobione przez Karolinę 🤤

Besides Sunday’s meeting, we also had planning sessions to prepare the whole autumn programme and the Open Day on 4 October at @*miserart* 👀

We made badges, discussed our promotion strategy, and brainstormed how to make you feel most welcome. The energy was fuelled by a cake made by Karolina 🤤

A reminder of Grzegorz Korczak’s beautiful pictures:) Thank you Grzegorz for capturing my mid 40s period in life. One foot in film, one step in social activism. An interesting and fulfilling bridge point to be at in this moment in time.

Tomorrow a special pre premiere showing of Agnieszka Smoczynska Konopka’s new film HOT SPOT at DC, where she entrusted me with the voice of the „Head”, a governing system I truly hope will never come to exist.

Working with social activism, specifically with youth, I truly dread such a potential future where we are not free to feel or think or dream freely, one where our lives are under constant surveillance and dependency on a system that can lead to destruction if you disconnect.
