Today, I honour the heart of Africa, that is the Democratic Republic of the Congo 🇨🇩
A land of resilience, culture, beauty, music and an unbreakable spirit.

To our Leopards…🐆 Thank you for carrying our flag onto the world’s biggest football stage. You have reminded every Congolese, at home and across the diaspora, that we belong among the best.
Your courage, passion, and determination have inspired a nation!

May our independence continue to be reflected in our unity, our excellence and our unwavering hope for generations to come.

Vive la République Démocratique du Congo! 🇨🇩❤️💛💙
Happy 66th Independence Day.

✨ Two followers. No lead. Just an impromptu moment because you both happen to be wearing black 😉

Konpa isn’t just for leader and follower partnerships but for everyone to enjoy no matter who they are coupled up with or not.

Dancing as two followers can definitely be challenging at times without a routine, but it also pushes creativity, musicality, and connection in a completely different way.

We came up with this in just 10 minutes. I definitely got loads of steps wrong and it took maybe 3… or 5… or 10 takes 😂😭✨

There was no overthinking, no perfection, just enjoying the music, experimenting, and flowing together in synchronicity.

Moments like this remind us that dance isn’t always about getting everything “right.” Sometimes it’s simply about being present, and having fun while growing together.

More moments like this please 🫶🏾

🎥✨ Welcome to the very first episode of Konpa Cam, our new series where we spotlight and celebrate the amazing Konpa dancers in London’s growing community.

First up, we’re featuring the lovely Divine 💛

A talented dancer, Kizomba instructor, and event organiser who has been sharing her passion for dance with years in Kizomba, Congolese Rumba, Zouk and Konpa. She has recently begun a journey in teaching a Konpa class this year!

It was such a pleasure having her join us at @4loveofkonpa and watching her bring her own energy, style, and connection.✨

This series is all about celebrating dancers, building community, and sharing the love of Konpa, one dancer at a time. More episodes coming soon… 👀🔥
