Hola, hola! There are many new faces here, so allow me to introduce myself!

I am Dalys Macon, a Panamerican (born and raised in the Republic of Panama 🇵🇦, lived in the U.S. 🇺🇸 all my adult life). Hablo español! I am the Queen of the castle to my husband of 30 years and 2 adult sons). Air Force Veteran, Breast Cancer Survivor🩷, former IT Govt Contractor + Founder @blackgirlswhoorganize—all part of my resume. I’m an ambivert, I enjoy alone time in reflection, reading or listening to music but, I also love being around my family and hanging w/close friends.

I’ve been a naturally Organized person all my life who sees great value in helping others achieve ORDER. I’m a closet stylist and color enthusiast and especially love simplifying clothes, accessories and creative spaces. Rumor has it I love animal prints, especially leopard! 🐆😂😛

You will often find me sipping a soothing cup of Green Mango, Jasmine or Lavender Chamomile tea. ☕️

WHAT I DO? I help busy professionals, especially women, declutter, organize and simplify their homes and spaces to increase function and STYLE. I teach you how to SHOP YOUR CLOSET so you can fall in love with your wardrobe again—so happen my services offered both on-site and virtually via workshops or 1:1 consultations.

2 Closets Organized and Simplified.

Closet 1: filled with linen, handbags, totes and miscellaneous items. This closet now stores suitcases and current season’s handbags.

Closet 2: established as a #seasonal closet for out of season and needed but infrequently used clothing, shoes and handbags.

Previously buried handbags and totes from Closet 1 now prominently displayed and accessible.

Clothing and shoe donations bagged and ready for pickup. Old towels, blankets and sheets bagged separately and delivered to our local animal shelter.

Back THEN I had no idea what life would look like after breast cancer treatment and it has truly been a journey—but the woman in the NOW photo knows how strong, confident and resilient she is. As a SURVIVOR I believe I can do ALL things through Christ who strengthens me! 🩷

MONOCHROMATIC with Tortoise Accents!

I love wearing navy as a base, but today I took it up a notch with my new navy blouse from my fall capsule, layered under a navy jumper plus navy lace tights for a chic monochromatic look.

The icing: tortoise shell necklace, bag, and shoes brought in the perfect warmth to transform the whole outfit into a beautiful fall look! 🍂✨

Navy + tortoise = a great fall combo!

STYLISH SUNDAY🖤🤍… PEARLS!

In an effort to continue wearing items in my closet that I have not yet taken for a spin this summer I chose my black lace pants. Adding the white jacket, pearls and leather bag was the perfect summer collaboration. In my opinion, #blackandwhite is a classic combination.

By the way, I wear white year-round the difference is in the texture. Just like I don’t wear wool in the summer, I don’t wear linen in the winter, but there are no colors that are off limit for me, no matter the time of year. How about you; do you wear white post Labor Day?

AUGUST FITS 🩷

My style truly evolved this summer! I’ve always embraced pairing bright colors, but this summer I stepped outside my comfort zone with bold florals. 🌸

I’m typically not a floral girl, but what I discovered is that it’s not that I don’t like florals—I much prefer large florals that are spaced apart. And honestly, that little style discovery feels like growth!
•
This summer, I really SHOPPED MY CLOSET and found new ways to pair existing pieces with a few newer additions. It reminded me that I don’t need a closet full of new clothes to create fresh, exciting looks.
•
My style is classic, casual, comfy & chic—and I can honestly say I LOVE my wardrobe because it represents who I am today. 🤍

I’m no longer investing in pieces just because they’re trending. I want pieces with lasting style, versatility, and staying power.

This is fashion growth! ✨

JUMPSTART KITCHEN UNPACK, EDIT AND ZONING 🤍

A beautifully remodeled kitchen needs more than beautiful finishes—it needs clear zones and functionality tailored to your lifestyle.
•
This client is determined to complete the editing process on her own, what she lacked was the how.

In just 4 hours, I examined the contents of all the cabinets, drawers and unpacked boxes (from the kitchen remodel), planned space to include identifying needed zones and measured the cabinets and drawers to recommended the best organizing tools to contain items kept.

Results: Increased functionality that aligns with client’s lifestyle. Bonus: a new hot beverage station.☕️

The client is determined to complete the editing but her investment gave her a Jumpstart!🤍

EDIT FIRST!!!

Going out to buy organizing solutions inspired by a video or reel BEFORE editing the contents of your space, is like buying new sports equipment before deciding which sport you actually play. 🤷🏽‍♀️ Imagine investing in a helmet and shoulder pads only to decide you want to play basketball?
•
I can’t tell you the amount of clients who order products in advance based on beautiful reels or product-inspired videos, only to still learn it is not the best solution… don’t get sucked in!
•
Organizing is an investment (time and $$$) because it’s intended to be a customized service. I know we make it look easy, but it’s not for the faint of heart. Whether hiring a professional or you embrace DIY Projects, EDIT FIRST! You’ll have a clear understanding of your needs and what you are keeping and can select the best product or service that matches your desired goals.
•
Common results when purchasing products and systems before the EDIT:
-installing Custom closet systems that cannot properly accommodate your clothing—a large long-hanging section when you are in greater need of double hanging space.
-not enough shelves in closet to store shoes, folded clothes or accessories
-bins that are not deep enough and making best use of maximizing depth of shelves
•
Better approach: even if choosing to complete task yourself, consult an organizer for a Space Audit and Plan to carry out your project. This service can also be accomplished virtually with guidance.
