“They’re watching who you are — not just what you say.”

As a divorced dad, I’ve learned this the hard way

You don’t need to be perfect.
But you do need to be present.
And self-aware.

I THINK MOST OF US KNOW THAT
BUT STRUGGLE TO LIVE IT. ✋

Here are 7 things I now avoid at all costs:

đŸš« 1. Complain about money or life
Don’t teach them powerlessness — show them how men build again.

Complaining erodes your present and future.
Just look at anyone who complained in the Bible.

đŸš« 2. Disrespect their mother
Even if she’s wrong. Even if it hurts.
Honor the position — it honors your kids.

FORGIVE AND LOVE. Even if you don’t want to.
BE BETTER and raise BETTER KIDS.

đŸš« 3. Bow to disrespectful authority
Model humility, yes — but never submission to dishonor.
They’re learning where the line is.

Be humble. Period.
If you have a problem with that. Sit quietly with the Lord and ask Him to reveal blind spots.

đŸš« 4. Mock their interests
What seems silly now might be sacred to their purpose.
Protect it.

Our jobs are to EMPOWER. and guide.
Love them!!
Control is fear disguised as protection.

đŸš« 5. Solve all their problems
Coach them. Don’t coddle them.
Struggle is part of strength-building.

And do it with KINDNESS and care.

đŸš« 6. Hide your emotions
They need to see what healthy masculinity looks like.
I cry all the time. Not in weakness, but in care and concern for others.

A gentle SPIRIT.

đŸš« 7. Compare them to others
Comparison breeds shame.
Encouragement builds identity.

THEY NEED TO KNOW who they are. Build into them WHO they are. The fruits if the spirit.

📖 Proverbs 20:7 – “The righteous man walks in integrity; his children are blessed after him.”

You don’t need a new house.
You don’t need a bigger paycheck.
You just need to become a man your kids can model.

In 2021, EVERYTHING fell apart (read 👇)

💬 In 2021, my life fell apart.

✅ Job gone.
✅ Marriage over.
✅ No money.
✅ Half the time with my kids.
✅ Living with my parents
 at 40.

And if that wasn’t enough—I was supposed to be the coach.

The guy people looked to for answers.

But inside? I felt like a failure.

But God

He wasn’t done.

Here’s the truth I discovered the hard way:
📉 You don’t rebuild by waiting for things to “get better.”
📈 You rebuild by making a decision to get better—with God, with help, and with a plan.

So I went all in.
I invested in coaches.
I got serious about the Word.
And I started building—again.

What happened next?

I helped clients scale past $100M in revenue.
I became a present, intentional father.
And I found my real purpose:

đŸ”„ To REBUILD and DEPLOY 1M divorced dads to transform their lives and the next generation.

You don’t have to live in regret.
You don’t have to carry shame.
You just have to take the first step.

💔 The hardest thing I ever did as a divorced dad. Why 👇

💭 Divorce isn’t just painful—it’s a full-blown spiritual war.

Counselors say it’s worse than death
 and I believe it.

Why?

Because instead of closure, you live with a constant reminder of what was broken—through court dates, texts, custody swaps, and silence.

As a divorced dad, I felt the rejection. The betrayal. The rage.

And if you’re in it right now—I see you.

But hear me: Unforgiveness will ruin your future more than your EX ever could.

It’ll cloud your parenting.
It’ll harden your heart.
And worst of all—it’ll distort how your kids see love, leadership, and God.

So what’s the answer?
Forgiveness. Real, brutal, supernatural forgiveness.

📚 RT Kendall’s book “Total Forgiveness” changed my life.
I didn’t just read it—I read it five times until it transformed me.
And if you’re struggling, you need to do the same.

Because here’s what I tell myself and my clients all the time:
👉 “Do the hardest things possible. That’s where transformation lives.”

✅ Forgiveness has nothing to do with your EX and everything to do with YOUR freedom.
✅ Forgiveness doesn’t excuse the betrayal. It breaks the chain.
✅ Forgiveness doesn’t let them win—it sets YOU free.

🔑 Want to begin? Start here:
✍ Write down what they did.
📖 Forgive them out loud.
THEN PRAY A BLESSING OVER THEM.

The moment I did this, it felt like a 200-pound weight fell off my chest.
I showed up lighter.
My parenting got sharper.
My kids felt the peace.

Where the SPIRIT of the Lord is, there is FREEDOM. Let it go. BLESS THEM.

If this hits, and you want to transform, balance and rebuild - let me know.

You’ve been trying to calm down for years.

It never works.

Because calm isn’t the opposite of anxiety.

Creativity is.

Fear and creativity are a toggle switch.
When one is on, the other can’t be.

So stop trying to think your way out of the spiral.
Bake something. Draw something. Move your body.
Build something with your kids.

An anxious dad tries to control the storm.
A creative dad builds through it.

Your kids don’t need you calm.
They need you present.

What’s one small thing you could create today instead of spiraling?

Drop it in the comments. I read them all.

You did this to them.

I heard that voice every single day.

Every time I corrected their behavior and wondered if I had the right to.

Every time I dropped them off and drove home alone.

Every time they cried and I couldn’t fix it.

You did this to them. This is your fault.

Michael Caine just said something every divorced dad needs to hear.

The harder thing to do and the right thing to do are usually the same thing.

Nothing that has meaning is easy.

Easy doesn’t enter into grown up life.

Here’s the truth that replaced the lie.

Nobody gets through life without pain.

Not your kids. Not you. Not anyone.

The question was never whether they would face hard things.

The question was whether they would watch their dad face hard things with peace, kindness and love.

That’s the inheritance I can still give them.

I own what happened.

Every bit of it.

But ownership isn’t the end of the story.

It’s the beginning of the one I’m writing now.

My actions today. My intentions tomorrow. My presence in every hard moment they face.

That’s what rewrites what that voice keeps saying.

You didn’t just do this to them.

You’re also doing this for them.

Comment REBUILD and step into a room of 700+ dads rewriting the story that voice keeps telling.

As a divorced dad, you’re never getting the real one. Not the kind that actually makes sense of any of it.

You can keep waiting. Keep replaying it. Keep needing someone to finally say the thing that makes it all click.

Or you can just put it down.

That’s the whole shift. Closure isn’t handed to you. You decide when you’re done — and then you are.

They didn’t know I was filming this 👇

Two daughters. A kitchen. A song neither of them will remember by next week.

50/50 doesn’t take the big days from you.

It takes moments like this one — the ones that happen when nobody’s watching and nobody thought to hit record.

I almost missed it.

I don’t miss them anymore.

No DADS know about this cost of divorce 👇

The Federal Reserve just measured what divorce does to your income.

Men’s incomes drop 17% after separation.
Women’s drop 9%.

Divorce in the last year? 12% pay cut versus people who didn’t.

Read that again. Not legal fees. Not the settlement.

Your paycheck.

This is what I’ve been telling you — the real divorce tax isn’t in the paperwork.

It’s your focus, your confidence, your edge, charged daily in silence.

Now the Fed put a number on it.

You can’t out-earn a wrecked mind.

Rebuild the man, the money follows.

They DONT want DADS to hear this
 👇

Are dads more important for daughters? ...

A researcher just said out loud
what most people are afraid to say.

He studied daughters with present, playful fathers.
What he found should stop
every divorced dad in his tracks.

Girls who wrestled and played with their dads —
lower promiscuity. Higher satisfaction in love. For life.
Not because of the wrestling.

Because of the relationship behind it.
Then a priest said the part nobody wants to hear:
there’s something a father gives his daughter
that a mother simply can’t.

I think about my own daughter when I hear this.
The days I don’t get. The hours I can’t get back.

Then I remember — it was never about the hours.

It’s about being the dad who shows up and plays
when he gets the time.

If you’re a divorced dad carrying that guilt,
hear me on this:
She doesn’t need you perfect.
She needs you present.

Comment REBUILD and I’ll show you exactly
what 800+ dads are doing to become
the father their kids always knew they were.

Sunday’s DIVORCE forecast says storm. ☔

So what?

You can’t control Sunday. You own today.

Most divorced dads live in the forecast.
Dreading the exchange. The hearing. The text.

Meanwhile today’s just sitting there. Wasted.

JAMEIS IS RIGHT

Be where your feet are. Let Sunday be Sunday.

What’s the Sunday you’re dreading right now?

Drop it in the comments. I read them all.

Done letting the future steal your today? Comment REBUILD. I’ll send you what 800+ dads are doing about it.

I was SCARED to even calculate THIS âŹ‡ïž

Every divorced dad does the math.

Lawyers. The settlement. Support payments.

You think you know what the divorce cost you.

You don’t.

Nobody sent you a bill for the promotion you missed because you walked into the room already defeated.

Nobody invoiced you for the clients you lost while you were answering attorney emails at 2am.

The real divorce tax isn’t in the paperwork. It’s your focus, your confidence, your edge — charged daily, for years, in silence.

A client told me last week he didn’t think the divorce was bothering his work.

Then he looked at two years honestly.

You can’t out-earn a wrecked mind. Rebuild the man first — the money follows.

Divorced dads
What if he’s right?

I’ve watched this old man’s clip probably 20 times now.

Four years of therapy. One minute.

Three lines, and I still think about all of them.

“You become what you think.”

“Emotions are not your problem. They’re signals.”

“Anger shows you what boundaries were crossed.”

That last one wrecked me.

I used to think my anger at my ex was the problem.

Something to suppress. Something to apologize for.

It wasn’t the problem.

It was information.

Every time I felt that flash, it was pointing at a boundary that had already been crossed — usually one I never actually set out loud.

Now when the anger shows up, I ask one question:

What boundary is this actually about?

Not “how do I calm down.”

What boundary.

That question alone changed how I handle every hard conversation with her.
