Poets for Palestine🫀11/15/2025

Yijae (@yiijjae)is a second-generation Korean American musician and dj with a drive to foster community and connection through feeling and listening. Yijae’s EP “Teeth”s dark, synth-heavy sound embodies internal struggles of those learning how their environments are truly reflected within ourselves as people and our relationships.

Nessa Norich (@nessoono) is a writer, director, actor, drag artist, facilitator, and somatic coach who creates works in film and theater. Trained at the Jacques Lecoq School for Physical Theater, Nessa uses embodied research, writing, and performance techniques to empower, liberate, and build community.

Diya Abbas (@joyridddle) is a first-generation Pakistani poet from the Midwest. Find more of their muses at diyabbas.com.

JinJin Xu’s (@jinjinxustudio)(b. 1994 Shanghai, based in Macau and New York) docu-poetics practice interrogates mis/remembrance and self/erasure, bearing a poetics of witness to buried soundscapes, censored memories, and the hauntings within our most intimate relationships. Her debut poetry chapbook There Is Still Singing in the Afterlife was named by the New York Times as “a must-read when visiting Shanghai.”

Pınar Banu Yaşar (@notpeanutbutter__) is a poet, dancer, and educator writing from the Kurdish diaspora. Her work has been featured in Mizna, Sleeping In the Courtyard: An Anthology of Kurdish Women and Non-binary Writers, and various journals. Yaşar writes about borders of language, movement, and desire, mapping the violence of linguicide and colonization to the process of forming identity and place both within and beyond our bodies, focusing on reclamation of narrative against the destruction waged by empire.

Fargo Nissim Tbakhi (@youknowfargo)is a Palestinian performance artist, and the author of TERROR COUNTER (Deep Vellum, 2025) and ANTIGONE. VELOCITY. SALT. (Deep Vellum, 2027).

Over the last year I’ve been studying The Beloved figure in Faiz Ahmed Faiz’s poetry. A year later, somehow this paper “Beloved Counterpoetics: A Genealogy of Desire” came into fruition and is now available to read in ARCHIVE. It’s the project I’m most proud of and I hope I did them justice💛

Themes include the ghazal, the Progressive Writers Movement, errantry, ephemerality, jazz, and the possibilities of the page.
