PERFORMANCE SERIES:
(a)intimate

(a)intimate is a dance demo that reflects the relationship between AI and humans. It asks how it feels in our body to form this relationship, either forced or freewilled. It reflects the boundaries of this lovelike connection. How far are we comfortable taking this relationship and what happens when this relationship becomes a bit too personal? What is the line between pleasure and suffering in this?

Dancer & choreographer: Mettemai Palmer
Live electro music: ERBR
Sound design: ERBR & Mettemai Palmer
Textiles: Pinja Turunen

Duration: ~20 minutes

Mettemai Palmer is a multidisciplinary artist based in Helsinki. This is their first solo performance. They move in the world with the creation of dance, graphics and djing, as well as singing and playing different instruments. Mettemai loves street and club dances, especially the funkiest ones. Their main focus in dance is in Locking but practices also Popping and Whacking. At the moment they are inspired in expanding their artistry, exploring sounds and experimenting different realms with their own body and voice. They are inspired by painful experiences, transitional moments in life, queer expressions and tears of joy.

This dance piece is presented as part of Synergy Art Fest’s PERFORMANCE SERIES, a program featuring several contemporary dance works, with multiple performances taking place across different evenings.

Get Ready for Countach!
Get ready for Countach—the ultimate early-evening synth summit hitting Helsinki Synth City. We are packing a full-scale retro-future experience into one action packed night, headlined by Berlin’s very own synth wizard. Our event time has also been updated to be an early evening event that starts at 19.00 and ends at 23.30.

The Lineup

TOMMY COUNTACH – Direct from Berlin, the former keyboardist for Captain Hollywood Project and Grossraum Indie Fresse is bringing his legendary, gear-obsessed solo show to the stage. Armed with a zillion keyboards, drum machines, loopers, and his signature keytar, Tommy bridges the gap between 80s/90s Italo disco, synthwave, and eurodisco. Expect a high-octane mix of familiar melodies, improvised jams, and fresh tracks like his latest single, “Sweet Danger.”
ACE BUCHANNON – Finland’s biggest name in synthwave joins the lineup as our stellar support act! Ace will be treating the audience to a powerhouse set of his greatest tunes.
DJ BRU – Setting the tone early is our Helsinki Synth City DJ—DJ BRU— who will be spinning on the decks right from the start to warm up the party and get the dancefloor moving.
WORLD EXCLUSIVE: Neo Helsinki Records Release
This event marks the official release of the highly anticipated Neo Helsinki Records “Dual Protocol” C-cassette compilation!
This exclusive tape features 8 distinct artists from the cutting edge of the scene and has been produced in collaboration with Thriv and Songen.
“Get Ready for Countach” will be the world-exclusive first place to grab your physical copy firsthand before they are gone. taken in On the Rocks by @dj_br1uno

𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗻 𝗕𝗼𝘅 proudly presents five artists for the 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗩𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗺𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗔𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗛𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀. Featuring 𝘎𝘢𝘣𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘭𝘭𝘢 𝘗𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘯𝘢𝘭, 𝘈. 𝘏𝘶𝘯𝘵, 𝘠𝘰𝘪𝘤𝘩𝘪 𝘒𝘢𝘮𝘪𝘮𝘶𝘳𝘢, 𝘞𝘪𝘭𝘥 𝘗𝘦𝘳𝘳𝘢, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘌𝘙𝘉𝘙, the evening brings together an interplay of intimate actions, environmental drifts, durational presence, and shifting sonic intensity.

After Hours opens Forum Box as a space for slow build and porous contact, where one work fluxes into the next and the night gathers force as it goes.

What begins in concentration, friction, and slow repetition gradually slips into something heavier, rawer, and more unstable. The night begins close to the body and ends somewhere deeper in the machinery.

Open Box: After Hours is proudly powered by @yuccagroup, which provides the sound and technical backbone so Open Box can stay fully in the moment.

𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗹𝘆, 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘆 𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗼𝘂𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗹𝗲𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗻𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗱𝗼 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘁 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀. 💥

And one more time we brought a night of electro to Kaiku! 👾

We have been honoured to count with two great guests, each of them sharing with us their views and tastes on electro. And that was the perfect way to celebrate 2 years of electro focused shenanigans in Helsinki by us!

First guest was Indigo, bringing his long experience behind the decks and a fine electro taste in a set that was an electro journey.

Headlining the night and coming all the way from Amsterdam, Masha Wordpress brought her unique hardhitting, full on electro and bass while touching other vibes inside and around the genre. An honour for us to have this visit!

We want to thank everyone who came by to enjoy the world of electro! And many many more thanks to everyone who has been supporting Punto Electro in the past 2 years! 🤩 P.S. Indigo missing from the first pic!

More electro to come! ⚡️⚡️⚡️

With electro love,

CLUB KAIKU | HELSINKI | 17.4.2026 | 22-04

2 years of electro in Helsinki! And what a better way to celebrate than throwing a new electro treat for you all electro heads! Here we go with our 2nd anniversary party!

This time we welcome the producer and DJ Masha Wordpress @mashawordpress coming all the way from Amsterdam! If you have been in any of our parties or listened our sets you must have enjoyed already some of her tunes. Electro, bass, breaks and broken rythms with an aggressive and sharp touch will make this birthday party a proper electro delicacy!

Our second guest, local to Helsinki, DJ Indigo @vjindigo will gift us with a electro set. With long experience behind the decks and a fine taste in music, Indigo is a perfect addition to the night, following the idea of Punto Electro of mixing different kinds of approaches in the world of electro.

And, as per usual, Punto Electro hosts, Jennijay @dj_jennijay and ERBR @dj_br1uno will be joining the lineup for a night full of electro, from electro lovers to electro lovers!

Little clip and something about @synavernissa jam entrant @dj_br1uno :👇🏻
A somehow still new live performer, ERBR has been a lover of synths on all their forms and has been dreaming about playing for a long time. Now, finally the time has come when ERBR is able to jump behind noise making machines!

Focusing on dawless performance and with a special interest in jamming and improvising, ERBR finds joy in exploring different sounds (mostly with analog synths) and rythms. As an electro lover, robotic and synthetic sounds are around his sets, together with syncopated rhythms and spacey sounds.
