Eight years of hustle... I hope this post inspires one person today 🌟

16 May 2018, I was coming to what I thought was the end of my career DJing at sea. I'd just been offered cabin crew with both Virgin Atlantic and BA and was heading back to live in London while I waited for one of them to give me my start date.

The next day we were arriving in Villfranche and with what can only be described as gut instinct, I emailed a DJ agent in France and asked him how far he was from Nice (I had no idea he was two hours away). The agent drove all the way to meet me and we met in Cannes the next day. That meeting changed the directon of my life.

I was 18 months sober at this point and was able to commit to anything I put my mind to, so when the opportunity came, I genuinely was ready. Five months later, I moved to the South of France and gave it everything I had. It's still the only place that feels like home to me, eight years later.

That one email changed everything and I'm very grateful to the agent for giving me that opportunity. 100 luxury weddings later, untold hotel residences, now with my own DJ agency, and still performing at sea, managing entertainment, doing what I truly love - this throwback is proof of what one email can do.

If you look at the two pics from 2018 and today, you'll see a better camera, similar trainers and more wrinkles, but the same optimism for life:

Be persistent and you'll get it.
Be consistent and you'll keep it.

Now send that email 😍 taken in Villefranche-sur-Mer by @djglenjohn

How do you sum up one of the most enjoyable months of a career in one post?
Maybe by explaining that it wasn't like this two years ago, let me tell you that. I had no idea what I was doing but in that moment of uncertainty, I started my two entertainment agencies and and began manifesting what I wanted the next two years to look like.
And here we are.
@f1 on board @explorajourneys.
@cannes_lions 2026.
Weddings in Provence.
Parties in Saint Tropez.
Time with my mum.
Time with friends.
Time with my other half (never enough).
And time in the South of France (which will also never, ever be long enough).
June is done and now it's time for the next chapter, soundtracking @fourseasonsyachts for the second time this year.

July, what do you have for me? 👀✨❤️ taken in Heathrow Terminal 5 by @djglenjohn
