As the creative force behind The New SLC coffee house dj set series; Breakfast Blend, DJ Kush is more than a DJ—she’s a movement-maker. Blending spiritual house sound, soulful mornings, and deep community roots, she’s carving space for something rare in the scene: intention.
In a male-dominated industry, she shows up with both grace and grit—curating connection, not just tracks. This isn’t just about music. It’s about energy, presence, and a new kind of frequency.

Catch her at the new Sunday School Friday 6-10pm

SLC, where’s everybody disappearing to Halloween weekend? 👀🪩

There’s a lot going on.. House parties? Underground sets? Costume chaos? Somewhere we haven’t heard about yet?

Drop the move in the comments. Let’s see where the city’s headed. 🎃

😎 Stay tuned I might have something extra for ya…. by @djkush8

There’s a difference between playing great music and playing the room.

Last night, hearing the staff tell me, “This is the vibe we’ve been wanting in this space,” meant a lot. Not because there haven’t been other talented DJs behind the decks, but because every room has its own energy, and our job is to listen to it.

I don’t walk in with a set and decide what people should want to hear. I watch. I feel the energy. I ask the space “what would you like to hear?” I pay attention to the details, colors, lighting, food, drinks, the people, the time of night and I build from there.

The best DJ sets aren’t just heard. They make the room feel the way it’s supposed to feel.

That’s the art of reading the room. 🖤

Three reasons I love what I do.

I love setting the atmosphere for the moments that make people smile.

I love watching someone start moving when they didn’t even plan to.

I love curating music that feels like it belongs in the space, the people, the aesthetic, the moment.

That’s the magic for me.
Not just playing music. Creating a feeling. #ivyandvarley #aker #sundayschool

This Thursday @ivyandvarley Frequency Shift :TULUM MIX

Born between the jungle, the cenotes and my time in Tulum.
Brought home and mixed for you.

A little deeper, warmer, hypnotic with some @vesica.tulum influence woven in.
