Happy heavenly birthday sweet daddy!
119 days since I’ve seen your smile, hugged you, heard your voice!
Life is cruel and so unfair and it’s just so hard to believe you’re gone. Words can’t express how much I miss you and the massive whole our entire family feels.
It’s so hard to focus on any good but I can say I’m so grateful for all the time we did have together. I’m privileged to have had 33 years of life with you. And although you’re not here anymore I will celebrate you always!
I can say with wholehearted confidence I know exactly where you are and although I want you here with me, I have a little peace knowing you are somewhere you’ve waited expectant and hopeful for your whole life to be!
I will miss you forever, and love you for always, happiest birthday sweet daddy in heaven🩵

It’s been 2 weeks since I said goodbye to you. Dropped you and mama at the airport early morning for your missions trip to Costa Rica. You were so excited for this trip, your handpicked team, and to share this place from a missional point with mama. You were so tickled to serve these people, so willing and excited to be able to meet their needs and excited to grow together and strengthen each other as believers.

I had no idea that was going to be the last time I saw you. I would’ve held you a little tighter, given you many more hugs and kisses, told you how grateful I am for the man you’ve ALWAYS been, and expressed my immense love and appreciation for you. I know you knew how much I loved you and admired you but just to be able to tell you again. Dad you’re the most amazing man I’ve ever known and I know that won’t ever change. Your love for God, your family and people—especially the least of these goes beyond human understanding. You truly are a man after God’s own heart.

Sweet daddy, I can’t say anything to make this okay. You are my rock, my hiding place, my first love! You made life worth living and desirable. You pushed me to be all I could be, you never judged me through all my crap. You welcomed me every day with open arms. You have been a life long friend and confidant. I’m so mad at God for taking you this soon, I will never understand. We often talked about how this day would come and I’d always tell you I couldn’t imagine living without you and you always told me I’d be okay and we just have to trust God. It’s so hard to trust right now but I’m trying to walk in the massive faith you walked in. You were the heartbeat to our family. The most positive light. You’re every breath was pointed to Jesus and the good work he called you to! In everything you did you wanted to make his name known for his glory and his kingdom come. Life without you will not be the same. 24 hours before you took your last breath dad you asked everyone in the room to repeat after you that “family is everything”. Family IS everything but daddy you were EVERYTHING. And so many people can attest to this. You were the hands and feet of Jesus, in all your way you acknowledged him and pushed for his love and his presence to be known. Shortly after landing here in 🇨🇷 I got to see my dad and hold him and kiss him. He was SO hopeful for this year for our family and for me and Jeremy. We’ve been trying to start our family for nearly 3 years and almost 2 years exactly to the date, we got pregnant. And minutes after finding out, we got to tell my parents and their reactions are priceless. When I saw and kissed and held my dad I got to tell him that I KNOW I will walk in the answered prayers that he so fervently prayed over my life and my family’s life. If you know David Clayton Seymour, you know he was one of a kind, Jack of all trades kind of man, who loved the Lord, loved his people-saint and sinner and did everything he could possibly do to let any and everyone know how wide, how long, how high, & how deep the Fathers love is. It is with the heaviest hearts we share that my BELOVED Daddy passed yesterday morning while in Costa Rica for a missions trip with my Mom and a team from their church. We still have so many unanswered questions as my dad was incredibly healthy and just 58. What started as heartburn developed into gastrointestinal bleeding and he died minutes after they got him to the hospital. My sister and I flew to Costa Rica to be with my mom as we wait on the logistics of getting his body back to Texas. Please pray customs here in Costa Rica as well as US customs can process everything quickly because it could take up to 2 weeks or longer to get him home. My dad meant everything to us and we’re still in complete shock and not sure how we will ever do life without him. To all our friends and family who have reached out we can’t thank you enough for the love, support and space to process the unimaginable. Will update with more details as soon as we get him home. by @djliljamz

Don’t mind me kissing my husband in front of our HOUSE🥹

Feeling so overwhelmed and blessed, God really came through!!!

When we moved to Houston 2.5 years ago we came with a desire to purchase our first home, and for the last year we’ve been on the hunt for our perfect first home. We went under contract on one house that ended with multiple issues, got our hearts broken on some others, but that was all to end up here at the house of my dreams 🏡 ✨

This waiting season had been such a hard one and I couldn’t see much light at the end of the tunnel but I am so grateful the Lord had us wait as long as we did because he truly reserved this house for us!

Shoutout to the best realtor on the planet @meaganhamblenrealtor the most patient and kind soul dealing with my townhouse phase, seeing the same house 4 different times, just for me to finally decide it wasn’t the one 🙈 and always making time to show us for the last year! You’re the real MVP!

And shoutout to the best lender we could ever ask for @jackyo_fosho and her amazing assistant @themeganlowe y’all made our buying process an absolute breeze !!! Buying a house for the first time is scary, especially in this crazy market. We truly lucked out with such an amazing team, thank you thank you @gibraltargroupmortgage

Our trip to Mexico was nothing short of a magical mixture of beauty and chaos. In the thick of it, it mostly felt like chaos but now reminiscing on it I see so much beauty, and that’s all because of my sweet husband!
