Day 2 of the Strictly Silk Events Lab: The business behind the creativity. 🧾✨

Yesterday, we got into the conversations that every creative and event producer needs to have: budgeting, tax, fundraising and intellectual property.

From keeping the books in order and understanding tax obligations to navigating grants, approaching sponsors and protecting creative work, our facilitators brought valuable insights to the room.

And the questions? Plenty! Because creating memorable experiences is one thing, but building the structures that allow your craft to grow and thrive is another.

We love seeing our participants think beyond the creative work and into the business of making it sustainable.

Day 2 was full of learning, questions and shared knowledge. Now, onto Day 3! 🫶🏾

Day 1 of the Strictly Silk Events Lab ✨

And just like that, we’re underway.

Yesterday, we got into the building blocks of creating events that people actually want to show up for; from PR & branding and marketing to event curation and social media for events.

But the best part? Hearing what the participants were already taking away.

From learning how to position themselves strategically, to building an online presence that can help them reach the right audiences and drive attendance for their events, there was plenty to take into the next stage of their work.

Day 1 was about laying the groundwork.

Today, we keep building. 👀
