Sunday the 25th of January at Glendale Adventist Academy, 4 PM opening set starts.

I’ve been so lucky to be a part of this #LibrarySessions musical adventure since many of the students were freshmen. And now they are seniors with one last musical ride before they go off and start their college chapter. Many other students that already started their college experience will return as guest performers. Also some other alumni will be on stage as well

Many notable GAA alumni, parents, and staff have been very supportive with this event and have been rewarded by the musical gifts showcased each of the past 3 installments. I still have goose bumps from hearing the kids at the first event.

Much appreciation to @kvigilia and @tamayotaco for their drive and passion for our alma mater and for the students, the future leaders and creators.

So excited to share the dj duties with my Sigma Alpha Theta and Soul Sessions brother @bigbadbabybubba

Finally got on a boat with my inherited conventional gear. It belonged to my cousin Eric, who battled colon cancer. He introduced me to deep sea fishing many years ago. As much as I had fun going with him, it never took off for me to go on my own until recently. I carried his memory with me had a nice day on the water

Got on the 1/2 day Island Sprit out of Ventura Sport Fishing. I feel it was good test on how I'd fare being on the water standing for a good period of time. Recent total knee replacement but getting stronger each day.

I felt like such a poser with a rolling tackle bag I recently picked up, boots, multiple rods. I'm sure someone would see what I had inside and think it was a portable tackle shop (even if it wasn't stocked past 50% capacity). Had with me a few rods as light as 15 lbs up to 60 lbs with an Avet SX, Penn Fathom 25 2 spd, Shimano Torium 30 & Trinidad TN40 Narrow. All of which was inherited with the exception of the Fathom. Took with me a spinning rod as back up just in case we had some surface action. My casting skills on the conventional needs lots of work & didn't want to end my surface iron day in a birds nest.

Boat was a little over half full, 25-30 anglers. Lots or room to move around and didn't feel cramped. But you did have to be quick to get your spot especially on the drift. About half of the anglers were using rental gear & the deck hands were quick to help them get rigged up. I helped a couple people as well.

Bait was prob 3-4" anchovies & deck hands said to use some 3 or 4 size hooks. I got bit on a double drop w an anchovy right away but then it slowed. Tried some plastics for about 10 minutes & went back to my double drop on hooks using squid. Squid was the winner for the day. Found a nice spot where everyone was hooking up & then a seal crashed the party. The seal seemed to be messing with all the hooked fish by just biting it for a second & then letting go. Myself along with a few others had fish hit by the seal looked like it was just toyed with a quick bite then let go. Just like a cat playing with a ball of yarn. by @djneight

Jackson Knox Dauglash was at Camp Cedar Falls summer camp and decided to be baptized. There were other campers that also chose to be baptized

The holiday lite traffic was a blessing as Pastor Mike made quick work of the drive and arrive to baptize Jackson.

Hiram, Janice, Finley & Reagan made it up there along with Grandparents Rolly & Rose. Followed by Grammy Wilma, Tito Nathan, Tita Jojo, and Wowa Josefina.

About 15 kids of the 40 some odd attendees were baptized. Most of which done by camp pastors. One by a child’s parent. And Jackson by Pastor Mike.

Let’s continue to lift up Jackson as newly baptized. And let’s pray for the next batch of Glendale Filipino kids attending this weeks summer camp by @djneight

A wonderful neighbor let us borrow his pole saw to work on our tree until we got one of our own. Assembling it on this lazy and much needed restful Sunday afternoon while recovering from a stomach bug.

Took the chain to some branches that needed buzzing. Finished a cabinet door repair and install (hope it is sturdy). Air blowed that garage driveway.

Thankful to have a workspace to wench on my various tasks and hobbies. Got this workbench from @atimbol who donated this along with many other workshop items as he did a wonderful remodel of his home workshop.

Listening to NPR Tiny Desk and the artists that kept me company while working were Frank Hammond, CeCe Winans, Maverick City, Kirk Franklin, and Tye Tribbett. Now eating a lite lunch that I hope my stomach agrees with. Was up for hours last night feeling sick. 🤢🫣😩🥺

Been enjoying inserting many praise and worship songs into my dj sets. Keep your ears tuned in at the next event. by @djneight

#lexythemaltipoo and #snoweethecockapoo coached us as we played tennis. Lexy is also a good ball girl and fetches the ball.

Nice to be back on the court slowly getting my game back after having a total knee replacement. I lost the set and think the score was 6-2. 🫣😩🤦🏽‍♂️

Continuing to play-test the technifibre tf-x1 300. If you like spin oriented racquets like the Babolot Pure Aero, Head Extreme, Yonex vCore (not pictured) and the Diadem Axis (not pictured)…this is a racquet to consider. All of the mentioned racquets are some of my favorites. VCore and Pure Aero gives knuckle ball type movement, Axis hits through the ball like a freight train , Extreme delivers the power. The X1 has a unique dampening technology. by @djneight

@kyler.creativity @kyler.again Kyler Kaocharoen graduation party at the Glendale Adventist Academy cafeteria was a team effort. @tuanh_tran spearheaded and brain stormed on the layout, decorating, menu, and activities for her son’s high school graduation. For those of you that know what the cafeteria looks like during normal business hours, I’d say you wouldn’t recognize it right away.

It was also his birthday celebration where DG Tauro help w a mochi cake and additional decorations. Charome Kaocharoen provided two ping pong tables and captures the event with his professional video and photography gear. Many others helped in preparation fr students and other parents. The Library Sessions band @tamayotuna @ehbrad also provided a number of songs during the night before we closed out with karaoke.

A challenge for me to do a live band in mobile setting but it was fun and more learning experience. The room was challenging to EQ. Acoustics change fr sound check to when guests arrived, speaker placement, running new/different mics, blah blah blah…. I’ve done a handful of full band mobile events with this one being one of the toughest.

Congrats GAA class of 2026. I’m fortunate to have seen you grow up as many of your parents are my dear friends fr my high school years. Looking forward in seeing your further growth into adulthood. Blessings and praises up. taken in Glendale Adventist Academy by @djneight

Our 1st flat screen “semi smart” TV of 16 years reaches the end of life. I think it was a 50”. Now got this 86” and wanted to put on wall. I’ve prob put up 5 wall mounts between my parents place and a room upstairs. This one made me nervous. Size and weight of the TV and also the studs were varying from 16”/18”/20” in the center of this wall. In a way glad it did because it prompted me to get this board to use as an anchor.

Next (who knows when) is to figure out if we keep the surround sound system in the old tv stand or maybe get a floating shelf system. Oh and wire/cable management. by @djneight

Hope you are having a good day at the range today. The hand loads of the 6.5 creedmore with different powder needed about 3 clicks of elevation from what you just text me.

Good to have Father’s Day dinner with the family. Missing Finley as she was out with her classmates.

I’m not a father but I’m a PAWrent to LexyPot and SnoWeePot. And I hope my father figure influence on the nephews and nieces are positively impactful.

Thank you to all the father figures in my life. by @djneight
