Curious about acting? Hit me up! Been working for a while and want to try something new? I find that practical aesthetics is a technique that gives me freedom to be flexible while maintaining strong intentionality. And it’s fun! by @dkwittrock

Conscience tells the story of Margaret Chase Smith, the first Female US Senator, and her public battle against Joseph McCarthy. It’s sharply written, funny, and frighteningly relevant. Come see it! by @dkwittrock

A moody little poem tonight. No work on the script, this one’s just for me.

There is a little pain tonight
My quiet cultured suffering
Ennui is too pretentious
Yearning too melodramatic
Depression hyperbolic
Yet it sits in the chest like a stone of moss
Or an owl pellet
Light and densely packed
With the bones of insignificant tragedies by @dkwittrock

I have not been writing this week, as I said I would. I failed. No, I have been watching Widow’s Bay, and thoroughly enjoying it. But tonight I sat down before passing out after a long day and wrote a little poem. by @dkwittrock

Starting a challenge to write for an hour every day this month. Making this post took about 15 minutes of that hour. It still counts. Happy pride. #writer #pride #wittrock #challenge #inspiration by @dkwittrock

I’m making a short film. If you’re able to contribute, I’m eternally grateful, if you can’t donate, please consider sharing. The link is in my bio

I’ve been pretty rattled by world events over the last few years, as most conscious humans are and should be. If you want my opinions, you can ask, I don’t feel the need to start a comment war. The central question I keep coming back to is the one I ask in this film: “can we (human beings) figure it out?” “Can we resolve our differences or are we doomed to keep repeating the same mistakes over and over again?”

That’s the question of the film. And it’s under ten minutes and it’s a comedy. Super simple. And fun.

Starring: Amber Afzali and Yusuf Misdaq
