Today, my grandpa told my husband “You’re the happiest dad I’ve ever seen.”
And he is right! I think it’s the best compliment I’ve ever heard.
They say kids enjoy their childhood as much as parents enjoy their parenthood.
I picked him for me… but I always had them in mind 😉

Training in pregnancy is wild.
No visible progress.
No hitting PRs.
No sauna / cold plunge recovery.
No maxing out your heart rate.
No preworkout (😫)
Just working hard to show my daughters their mom can do hard things.

The weights feel heavier.
Each day gets harder.
But I still show up.
Not for abs or applause.
But for endurance and preparation and a healthy body + baby.
Because no matter what numbers I lift or how slow I run… I still always beat the version of me that stayed home 💪🏼

(Also… I’ve never heard a kid brag about how skinny their mom is 🤷‍♀️) by @dlanzgreen

I could not have possibly known all the ways you’d show up as exactly the dad I’d dream for her to have.
