A little look into some of the tomfoolery aka SFX design I’ve done over my years as a sound designer in the game industry. Headphones recommended ;)

Trying to get in the habit of sharing more music that I feel is “incomplete” or “unfinished.” This is a tune that came into conception over the last few months of my life and I’ve found myself playing it almost daily as a sort of accompaniment to all the changes that I’ve been going through. Musical expression has always been something that I feel comes natural to me and I’m grateful I have this avenue to be able to communicate the crazy complexities of life through the form of piano. So, enjoy my imperfect musical ramblings!

Today I started up a senior sound designer gig at @humanoidorigin, a newer game studio headed by the mastermind behind the Mass Effect games. I get to join my buddy ol’ pal @ch.an.dy on this new chapter of my sound journey and I couldn’t be more STOKETHED to make some more sound babies! taken in Vancouver, British Columbia by @dmac.sound

“Les Barricades Mysterieuses” by Francois Couperin.
I heard this song pop up on a Spotify playlist a while ago and it really struck a chord with me (no pun intended 😌)
Some fun facts: this song was originally written for the harpsichord but I found it sounds lovely on the piano. Also, the name of the song is in reference to the “eyelashes of a lady.”
Enjoy! by @dmac.sound
