Here it is. The music video that I’ve been working on for over a year now. Thank you to @creativebcs, @cityofvancouver and @governmentofbc for your support. This would not have been possible without you. ⁣
⁣
Massive thank you to everyone who was involved. There were 5 or 6 shoot days total and almost all of my friends in Vancouver were involved in some way. As well as some who came in from out of town to help.

Whether it was day 1, helping me storyboard the video at my house, being there on the big shoot day as an extra or anything in between thank you for being part of this, it means the world to me. I can’t thank you enough for helping me bring this weird vision of mine to life 🙏🏼
⁣
I love you all ⁣💚🖤

“ You should be afraid of taking risks and pursuing something meaningful.

But you should be more afraid of staying where you are if it’s making you miserable.

If you’re miserable now and you change nothing, in 5 years you’ll be much more miserable and you’ll be a lot older.

It’s a luxury to pursue what makes you happy.

It’s a moral obligation to pursue what you find meaningful. “

That doesn’t mean it’s easy. It will most certainly require sacrifice.

Now you may ask “what’s meaningful?”

That will vary from person to person. But a universal meaningful aim is great health.

The ability to execute daily activities, occupations and aspects of sports with optimal performance, endurance & strength.

While effectively managing fatigue, stress, disease, pain and a sedentary lifestyle.

That’s what we do. That’s who we are.

There’s nothing like seeing people push themselves into a dark place knowing they’ll come out better on the other side 💪🏾

I do not care how many calories I burn in a workout, and you shouldn't either.

Because exercise is not about burning the most calories. If that's what you're focusing on, you're focusing on all the wrong things.

Yes exercise can help with weight loss if that's your goal. But you shouldn't be exercising just so you can lose weight!

If you want to improve your relationship with your food & your body - you have to look at exercise differently too.

Give exercise a bigger purpose. A deeper meaning. A goal that goes beyond looking good.

Confidence.
Strength.
Energy.
Mental toughness.
Independence.
Community.
Fun.
Health.

If you really want to stick with an exercise routine, this is the key. You'll never want to keep doing it if it's always a punishment for how you look or what you ate.

Why do you exercise? Tell me in the comments!

STRATEGY: pace the first two movement so you can push hard on the wall walks.

Digging through hard drives and found this old experimental gem that @dmac.sound and myself messed around with, but never fully finished.

"disease and lack of fitness are closely related".

Feeling good about yourself and taking care of your health are important for self-esteem and self-image.

How can we achieve this?

Exercise and healthy eating. Simple.

No apple cider vinegar.

No crash diets.

No shortcuts.

Consistency. Effort. Intent. Discipline.

There’s the secret. Work.

This community works. 💪🏾
