Alta Badia and Corvara did not disappoint—this region is absolutely breathtaking, especially if you love mountains and fresh air. For charming towns with great spots for lunch and local artisan shopping, I highly recommend stopping in Brixen, Bolzano, Corvara, San Candido, and Vipiteno. Off to Cortina. by @dmesser68

Utia Lé in Alta Badia blew us away. Tucked into the mountain, with a snow cave on the hike, this Alpine hut served the most unforgettable meal we had—period.

Homemade tortellini filled with “grey cheese” (a bold local specialty), finished with freshly shaved aged Parmigiano and a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil.

If you’re hiking or skiing in the area, do not miss this hut. by @dmesser68

Beyond the stunning mountain views, these alpine huts serve some of the best food around, fresh, local, and often better than what you’d find in most restaurants. If you live in the tri-state area and want to witness something incredible, visit Kaaterskill Falls near Hunter Mountain. Be sure to bring ice spikes, as the trail is extremly slippery. The sight of massive natural ice formations and frozen cascades is truly breathtaking. These are probably 40 feet tall. by @dmesser68

Tokyo by night, the city truly comes alive. Bright neon lights and massive digital screens illuminate the skyline. Music blares from advertisement boards. People flood every corner. It’s a sensory overload of sights, sounds, and energy. by @dmesser68

Welcome to Tokyo, with Sam Messer! First Night Impressions:
remarkably clean, the people are incredibly polite and respectful. The atmosphere as if I’ve stepped into a video game world, and there is no garbage on the street. Infact there are no garbage cans, you bring your garbage home with you, hey it works. by @dmesser68
