Q: Why do you enjoy racing in TCR?
A: I enjoy close racing. The cars don't have driving aids such as ABS or traction control, so it all comes down to driving skill, car setup and the team. That's what makes the difference.

Q: Full-attack qualifying lap or controlled race stint?
A: I enjoy both challenges, but I prefer racing, where you also need to think about tyre management to stay fast throughout the race. We approach qualifying and racing quite differently, including the car setup, so it's important to understand both.

Q: Which circuits suit your driving style best?
A: I think I've been more successful on fast circuits such as Sepang, but I can also adapt to different types of tracks, like Zhejiang in China, where I won in 2019.

Q: Which race win means the most to you?
A: My first win at Sepang was probably one of the most special. TCR was completely new to me, with a new car and a new team. I struggled at first, but I improved throughout the weekend and went on to take an amazing victory in Race 2.

Q: How do you keep yourself fit for racing?
A: I also love cycling, so when I'm away from the track, I spend quite a lot of time on my bike. It helps me stay fit for racing.

Q: How is racing in Asia different from South America?
A: It's quite different. I would have loved to have had the opportunity to race at this level when I was back in my home country. There's a very high standard of professional racing in Argentina and Brazil, though, and hopefully that will spread across the rest of South America.

Q: Which drink would you choose ahead of a race?
A: I usually drink water with electrolytes, something I learnt from cycling, especially in hot and humid conditions like those in Malaysia, where I currently live. It helps me stay hydrated in the car and cope with the heat and sweating during races.

#12HorasEcuador2026 El equipo conformado por Diego Morán, Juan Gerardo Guerrero y Juan Pablo Vintimilla completó las 12 Horas en el Autódromo Internacional de #Yahuarcocha

Una carrera marcada por la intensidad y la resistencia. El equipo permaneció en la primera posición, pero problemas en el sistema de frenos obligaron a perder terreno.
A pesar del inconveniente, los pilotos no bajaron los brazos y lucharon hasta la bandera a cuadros, consiguiendo finalmente la tercera posición.

This weekend’s event at the Inje Speedium will also mark the opening of the season for @tcr_asia that like last year will be part of the Kumho @fiatcrworldtour grid also in the following race meetings in China and Macau.

The list of TCR Asia competitors is led by @dmoran23 🇪🇨 who will be driving a Honda Civic FL 5 under the banner of ATE Racing by DM23. Moran, who also took part in the Asian events of the 2025 TCR World Tour, has started the current season in TCR China, claiming an outstanding second place in the opening event at Shanghai.

The TCR Asia field comprises Korean drivers @aj_jeongmin 🇰🇷 and @leenayul_papa 🇰🇷, both racing Hyundai Elantra N cars for the Seoul-based @russellmotorsport.kr, and three drivers from the Chinese CTCC Cup.

Fueron 12 horas de competencia en las que nuestro equipo lidero la categoría durante 9 horas, demostrando ritmo, estrategia y trabajo en equipo

Un inconveniente en los frenos nos hizo perder esa ventaja y obligó al equipo a replantear la estrategia para las últimas horas. Aun así, Juan Guerrero, Juan Pablo Vintimilla y Diego Morán siguieron adelante con el segundo lugar hasta la recta final en el cual cerraron la competencia con un tercer lugar en la categoría TC2000 🔥

Un podio que representa el esfuerzo de todo el equipo
