Girls weekends are necessary to recharge, have a change of scenery and to just have fun! This past weekend Angelina @whitefamilyhomesteaders and I took a trip to the Central Oregon Coast and it was exactly what we both needed. We explored, ate delicious food, thrifted, had lots of laughs and great conversations! Can’t wait till the next time ☺️

While 2025 was a really rough year there were some good parts! Lots of trips to the beach, camping, Labor Dave weekend for the first time in 19 years, a couple weekend trips away with friends, quality family time, waterfalls and river/lake days. 2026 is going to be year of healing from a lot of hurt and I look forward to what the year has to bring(as long as it’s not more heartache, stress and anxiety atleast).

19 years went by without going to the Gorge for Labor Dave Weekend and now that 2025 was our year to go I don’t want miss any more! 4 nights of camping in the middle of nowhere and 3 nights of my fav bands music just hits different. Between hearing Lie in our Graves with an amazing guest fiddler, hearing Two Step, hearing the entirety of BTCS in order and too many other songs to mention it was a weekend to remember! I can not put into words the feeling of experiencing this and I’ll forever be grateful we got to go.

22 years ago today we said I Do to each other!! People doubted us cause we barely even knew each other when we got married but here we are 22 years later and going strong. We’ve had our ups and our downs. Our good times and our bad times. Lots of camping trips, road trips, beach trips, lake days, river days and the absolute joy of raising our two beautiful kids together!! It’s been one wild ride and I wouldn’t want to do it with anyone other than you!!! You’re my favorite and you always will be! Here’s to 22 years and even more to come.

I almost missed World Oceans Day! If you know me you know the ocean is my happy place. The Oregon Coast in particular is the place that always sets my soul on fire in the best way possible! It’s beautiful, calming, relaxing and a place to forget all my worries.

Started off Spring Break 2025 yesterday with my boy and his buddy by going to Brookings for the day! We went in hopes of seeing some gray whales migrating north but didn’t spot any. We did explore a lot on a beautiful sunny Oregon coast day and it was magical! I’ll be counting down the days till my next beach trip!!

This last weekend the awesome @whitefamilyhomesteaders and I took our first girls trip to Florence, OR! We went antiquing, ate delicious food, had yummy snacks, explored some amazing places and talked each other’s ears off. It was perfect in every way and I can’t wait for our next girls trip!!

2024 you brought some great adventures, amazing times with great friends, a high school graduate, a surgery, lots of camping, beach time, concerts, some very hard times but you taught me a lot in so many ways and I’m thankful for everything that was thrown my way. Last month I had the privilege of taking a last minute camping trip with @whitefamilyhomesteaders and it was the best! I spent the first night by myself and 2 nights with The Whites. We ate yummy food, sat by the campfire, went inside the Coquille Lighthouse, walked on the jetty and explored the beaches in Bandon. It was exactly what I needed! Then on my solo drive home I decided to take the long way and drive the 101 down to Brookings. I’m really finding that trips like these are much needed!

If you haven’t taken a swim when the sun is setting are you even living?? Camping by this lake in particular reminds me of being a teenager! My mom used to take us camping at this same spot as teenagers and we would swim all day and then take a swim at night and chase bats with our flashlights! So many memories came up the 3 nights we just camped here and I can’t wait to go back.
