Normally I would not post about something personal like this , but God did so much for me so …….

A year and a few months ago i got accepted into a surgical tech program by NYU . The duration of the program was 1 year. An intense year to be exact …working full time and going to school full time. I said to myself it is free you could do it.

After six months in the program we left our classroom settings because it was time for clinical.

An Operating room can be very scary and intimidating. We are dealing with a whole lot of different personalities and attitudes it was very tough. Some people would test your patience and kindness daily. An OR room is not for the weak, physically speaking and mentally. I have seen ppl cry and ppl quit, but I had a goal in mind. I had to quit the Gym for a year to make this happen. I cancelled on a lot of family events, even close friends couldn't see me. The whole year of the program I didn't miss a day or was late once.

Fast forward to graduation day which was on a Friday then come Monday I got hired. Ain't God good. I was the first out of 48 classmates to get a job.

Now I had to study for my board exam to be certified. I picked a day but sadly my uncle passed away then my aunt passed away a week later. I had to switch my exam day because too many mixed emotions of course. I am still dealing with these emotions. This past Saturday I took my board exam and I am now a certified surgical technologist by the grace of God. So this post is my way of thanking God for what he has done for me. God is good all the time ……..
