Ohhh look, a lemon. Another tune released into the wild. This one is odd and not very cool.

I used an interesting production method on this one, called being a sneaky little bastard.I told Rhys and Sam to just play loosely over a full song in one take and I would chop up their take and comp. When I heard the freeness of the single takes it was obvious that’s how it should stay. Also the lyrics are somewhat lax. Anyhow, everything is free now.

Chuft to get a tickle from BBC Introducing for “FOX”. There will be another tune out next Friday. It’s a bit odd and the cover art is a lemon. So yeah, that’s irrelevant. by @doadmusic

Gooood mornin. I’ve done a song thing again. Here’s another one from the brain injury EP 😂😂. Really scraping the barrel with content here as I’ve been a little preoccupied recently. I’ve been learning how to “cut in” dancing with house dust and hanging out with my new pal Henry. Anyway here I a song. Do with that what you will 😉

This is very much a DIY number as I’ve engineered, produced, mixed and mastered myself. (Paint is very expensive)

Now then, here is a song with a story. In February I had a bike accident. Went over the handlebars and did a somewhat violent headstand. The cover art is a CT scan of my head, avec uninvited canyon. While I was recovering from the acrobatics I had nothing but time, a guitar and a fresh perspective. I wrote 4 songs to try and snapshot some of my thinking while my brain was swollen, bruised and a little stupid. This is the first of the four. The story of a FOX. The rest il leave to your imagination. 3 more to come soon enough. They are all very different and special little princess. 👸

Generally I feel very lucky to be alive and can’t recommend bike helmets enough.

I’m working hard on some recordings at the minute. They are actually starting to sound quite rude. In a good way. “Fox” will be the first one I release, there will be 3 more to follow. They are mostly inspired by head butting planet earth really hard. Have a nice weekend.

It seems people of the internet like watching videos of van conversions so I thought I’d use this one I did to advertise a song. Because that is very clever. Check out this song - Anchor Point. Or don’t, either way, the van isn’t for sale and neither is Mona. So that’s good by @doadmusic

I have always been very interested in tempo when recording songs. In the past I have purposefully avoided a metronomic feel to try and capture a more live and believable recording. This little EP is very different. I wanted to use an 80s drum machine to set a predictable tempo. The first track ‘Anchor point’ was written in Morocco in December. Last pic is me right now because I did a cycling woopsy. Please go listen so I can leave this hospital a millionaire. 😉😚 by @doadmusic
