He didn’t set out to do this…

But one decision turned into a purpose he never expected.

What started as curiosity became something much deeper, a moment that completely shifted how he sees people, care, and what it means to truly show up for someone.

And what his patient told him at the end…
that’s the part that stays with you.

They told him he was ruining his career…

But he understood something most people don’t, people don’t need perfect… they need someone who understands them.

Every day, his patients walk in already judged by the world. So he made sure they’d never feel that in his office.

This conversation goes deeper than tattoos.
It’s about identity, acceptance, and showing up as YOU no matter who’s watching.

Be bold in all things certain.

Many young surgeons mistakenly think that having “fast hands” is the most important skill for being efficient in the operating room. While dexterity is certainly important, what truly makes a surgeon efficient is their understanding of anatomy. Knowing when one can safely move quickly, and when one needs to really slow down and be very meticulous, is directly related to a surgeon’s grasp of the practical anatomy. A truly efficient (and safe) surgeon relies more on their brain, their studies, and their experience over their technical prowess.

“I’m gonna be in that magazine one day”

For decades I’ve been saying to my family and friends that I would love to appear in the iconic Inked Magazine. Turns out, all I had to do was ruin half my face to get there!!!

All jokes aside, I’m honored to have made an appearance in the most recent issue of @inkedmag alongside some of the legends in the medical/science field: @the_inked_shrink @rosesarered_23 and @gnarlybygnature.
I would like to thank Mads @the_tattoo_sociologist for such a beautifully written piece, and to @freyalovephoto for snapping these great images!
And lastly, I have to give a special shout out to my homie @darthswarm for blasting my whole body and making this all possible!
