Marc Henry (*1996 in Munich, Germany; lives and works in Vienna) presented by Domenico Positano for Coucou Paris 2026.

Opening: Monday October 19, 6-9 PM

The exhibition will continue until Friday October 23 and can be visited everyday from 12 to 8 PM and by appointment

📍19 Rue de Poitou, Paris

For Coucou Paris, Henry will present a series of new works that continue and expand on those he began for his first institutional solo show, which recently opened at Neuer Aachener Kunstverein in Germany.

Informed by a background in fine arts, economics, and curatorial studies, Marc Henry’s practice reflects on societal dynamics, politics, and macroeconomic conditions as forces that structure perception and lived experience within our post-factual condition.

When I started working on “Sound Biesenthal” in April 2026, the first work I wanted to include was “Lip Sync” by Bruce Nauman (1969). Thank you, Bruce and studio, and Konrad Fischer Galerie, for lending it to me. Without this work, the show would have never existed.
It was literally: No Lip Sync, No Sound Biesenthal.

Thank you, Tony Cokes and Felix Gaudlitz, not only for lending me my favorite work by Cokes ever “Face Value,(2015)” but also for being there in person on the (rainy) opening day, August 1st. It meant the WORLD to me!

Thank you, Juergen Staack, for installing such an incredible work, “FADE”. I wish I had a garden to keep it with me forever!

You cant imagine how difficult it is to get a loan for a “Weltempfänger” (I hope I spelled that correctly, haha) by Isa Genzken (1993).
I called so many people, and then suddenly found one in Stresa, Italy! Thanks to everyone involved in bringing this work into the group show. I will always be grateful.

Thank you, Marco Falcioni, and BOSS, without you, I would never have been able to put this group show together, plus all the performances every Saturday and Sunday.
Our live program was absolutely crazy!!

Thank you, Keith Henning, for flying Claudia in from Cape Town to help us install “WATERSPORT”.
The gardener still hates us for the big hole we left after removing your fountains. Ops!

Thank you, Wolfgang Tillmans and Galerie Buchholz, for lending me “Documentation of South Tank, 2017”.
Your Tate show lives rent-free in my mind forever!

A huge shoutout to all the artists, galleries, and estates who decided to be part of my group show. There were so many of you, 44 artists in total, with more than 50 artworks. Thank you so much!

And thank you to all the artists involved in the live program, you made every weekend truly special!

Thank you Lea Colombo for the heaviest stone ever!
I think you’re now officially on every transporter’s blacklist after this <3

Last but not least, thank you to all the visitors.
There were so many of you, and I loved every conversation/feedback we shared.

Yours truly,
Domenico Positano
