Look. I enjoy animal videos on social media just as much as the next person - but this sort of content is only enjoyable when the animals involved are happy, healthy and willing participants. There’s been a horrific increase in blatant cases of animal abuse creeping onto social media, and the platforms are doing ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about it. What makes it worse is that when the content or the creators are reported, the social media platforms spit out automated responses saying “no violations to community guidelines”… I’ve seen videos of dogs being thrown to the floor, forcefully grabbed and tortured. I’ve seen animals being kicked, punched and physically battered in all sorts of ways. I’m not talking about using aversive training tools. I’m talking physical assaults. The content creator’s justification? “It makes good content” “It gets views” “I make money from it” And this is the problem. Social media can be a VERY lucrative business. Creators can make significant amounts of money from view counts and live stream gifting/donations. There is zero incentive for them to stop using animal abuse as a method to rage bait and farm engagement. The animals they’re hurting aren’t their pets. They aren’t their family members. They’re disposable props for what is practically blood money. Social media platforms must change. They should take these reports seriously and hurt these animal abusers where they’ll really feel it. Their monetisation. Impressionable people, children and people that don’t know any better are helping fund this abuse by watching or engaging in this content. If a serious report is made, at least freeze the financial streams whilst an investigation is underway. It works for other forms of media with copyright strikes! If a copyright infringement is reported, the creator being investigated can’t make money whilst it is investigated. So why can someone causing mental and physical trauma be allowed to have a cash flow, with the reports being hand waved away? I’m not saying ban animal content. I’m saying stop monetisation of animal abuse. Please sign the petition: link in bio. #animals #animalabuse #petition #change #animalrights by @dognitive.behaviour

Happy 80th birthday to my Pops! I can’t believe you’re an octogenarian now 🤯 besides some added facial hair I don’t think we’ve changed much in 30 years 😉 Thank you for being the original gentleman, the original dogfather, the real Santa and everything else in between. Love ya 💚 #birthday by @dognitive.behaviour

Obviously context is key, if your dog isn’t enjoying it - back off! If they’re loving it and leaning in for more like Strudel here, crack on with the smooches! #dog #germanshepherd #germanshepherdpuppy #puppy #dogtraining by @dognitive.behaviour

One dog. A whole weekend. The Wilson Weekend in Partnership with @allaboutdogsshow 2026. Two whole days of chow chows, old friends, new friends, imposters and a community that never ceases to amaze me. What started with Wilson has become so much bigger than just one dog. This year it was a full on celebration of the breed we love. Educating, embracing. Remembering those who have left their mark on our hearts and celebrating the ones who currently make us work on having a strong sense of self 😉. I had an absolute dream team with @chinesechowclub , @dognitive.behaviour and @lordkodabear_chowchow ‘s Mum @pawsandprintsessex and @sbchowlife alongside incredible friends and my brand ambassadors. The goody bags made even better by @butternutbox @dogbowldave @twiggytags and @tailandtag kind donations. But none of this year would have happened if it wasn’t for All About Dogs giving me the space and support to turn an idea born from one very special dog into a weekend celebrating an entire community. Thank you for letting me do this 💛. Thank you to every single person who came, supported, volunteered, shared a story, brought a chow or an imposter, joined the parade or simply just became a part of it. The one thing that stood out to me over this whole weekend was a community so strong it’s like family. We celebrate the highs with sheer joy, but when the lows hit we can, in an instant show how strong and bonded we are. This was The Wilson Weekend. And I think he’d approve. 🦁🌈. #allaboutdogsshow #allaboutdogs #TheWilsonWeekend #ChowChow by @dognitive.behaviour
