Some people support you by shouting from the sidelines.

Some send a message when they know you need it.

And some very casually tell you they’re not coming… and then turn up anyway. 😂

Sam had made it very clear she wasn’t going to the Chinese Chow Club event.

So imagine my face when she was in the car park…

And honestly, this photo is about far more than just the two of us.

Because the older I get, the more I realise that the things we build, the things we survive, and the people we become are rarely down to us alone.

We need our people.

The ones who show up.
The ones who believe in us when we’re don’t believe in ourselves.
The ones who make us laugh when everything feels a bit much.
The ones who remind us that we don’t have to carry everything ourselves.

And community isn’t just about having people around you.

It’s about having people who make you better.

People who challenge you, encourage you, celebrate you, ground you, and occasionally turn up somewhere purely to make you cry in public. 😂and those sneaky fuckers who’ve turned getting a hug out of you into a national sport…

Bon Dog exists because of a dog called Wilson.

But everything it has become has been shaped by the people who came along afterwards.

And I think that’s one of the loveliest things about building something from the heart.

You start with one thing you love.

And somehow, along the way, you find your people.

And sometimes they even lie to you about whether they’re coming. ❤️

Wow what a Weekend! 🤩

The only way to finish @allaboutdogsshow season for the year!

Saturday mum wasn’t feeling very well but we made it, and got to spend the whole day with @bemorebondog celebrating Wilson’s weekend, where I was an honorary Chow Chow for the day! Mum got to sit and tell Wilson all about me and how amazing I am 🤭 I stole @booboothechowchow dad’s chair and came 3rd in best imposter, Me nor mum haven’t felt more love at an event than we did on Saturday! 🥰🥰

Sunday was all about fun and I got to do all my favourite activities, Dock diving, Flyball, Lure, scurry and even got to try barn hunt for the first time and that was super fun!!!! 🤩

I cannot wait for next year now!! Can winter hurry up and be over so we can do it all again 💕

This weekend was all about Wilson and all about dogs. 🤎

We have meet so many gorgeous pups and their amazing humans.

This weekend was for Wilson. 🤎🐾

What an amazing, emotional and truly special day at @allaboutdogsshow
To see Wilson’s beautiful face there, surrounded by so many people who love and remember him, was so special 🥹

And @bemorebondog… we couldn’t be prouder of you 🤎 What started with an idea to do something special in Wilson’s memory became something so much bigger - a whole weekend bringing Chow lovers together and celebrating the breed we all adore. You put your heart and soul into making it happen, and seeing it all come together this weekend was just incredible.

Of course, none of it would have been possible without the help of some truly amazing friends who rallied around you and made the whole thing even more special. And a huge shout out to the @chinesechowclub & @dognitive.behaviour for being part of something that will mean so much to so many people 🤎🐻

One dog. A whole community. A lifetime of love.
