“Foreign rhymes with Orange” • 2025 [73” x 73” Acrylic Paint and Acrylic Marker on Canvas]I am deeply unsettled by the treatment of migrants in this country, both documented and undocumented. My heritage means a lot to me, and the liberty and prospect granted by the states to my family and I have been invaluable over the years. However as times goes on, that liberty seems more akin to perception and facade than actual reality. I am aggressively afraid for my immigrant brothers and sisters, and cannot stand to see them criminalized to the degree that is broadcasted in real time every day. Like many of you, I often feel helpless and desensitized to social issues these days; it seems history won’t give us a break. But I encourage all of you to press on, and keep fighting for the change you want to see— for the society you want to uphold.I stand in perpetual light and love with my fellow aliens. by @dom.ozail
