Mixed emotions in just one shot 🤯
Järva Open in Stockholm was a blast 🇸🇪 @europeanprotour did a great job getting Europes international Disc Golf scene together.
Didn‘t score well in 2nd round and that‘s how fast you get down in the leaderboard. Finishing under Par after not playing a Championship course in a while is pretty solid. Looking forward to the beast 🦁 🇫🇮

Berlin Open, aka walking in the park with good friends and playing Disc Golf!
What a weekend with @bene1heiss and @partherapie_ 🙌🏻
Mostly throwing the disc very well, making clutch shots and some strong mental game.. seems I am enjoying the game again. Life is wonderful! 🤗

🏆🥇

Next stop Järva Open and back to the international scene 🇸🇪

Another European Championships is in the books. 🇪🇺
Defenitely an event to remember. Shoutout to @novakrystof & team!

Had pretty high hopes to finish strong after putting so much effort in my game the last couple of months. Well.. body and mind did not deliver so I am bringing back nothing than great memories with good friends.
To be honest: in the end, that‘s what counts.
I am so thrilled to wear that national jersey in my 8th EC again, so let‘s reinvent the game.

Shoutout to:

The 2019 season was not an easy one. The reasons are easy to find, but the time to put in to be back on a top level is not that easy. Time to reinvent my game again and try new things to push to another level. Can‘t be more happy to do that with the guys from Discmania. Thinking innovative and outside the box brings things forward. This is what these incredible people at Discmania do every day.
It‘s been a great ride since 2012 and I am looking forward to represent the shield for another two years! 🛡❤️

All right, time to wrap up season 2019, which perfectly symbolizes this last tournament.
Going into this season I knew this will be a hard one. But things turned to an not foreseeable level with almost no practice, lots of travel, crazy amount of actions to handle mentally... Despite many missed putts - many where a ‚no-brainer‘ - I had a huge amount of self-confidence when throwing the disc which resulted in some clutch moments. Some great shots memorized 💪🏻
All in all, tournament play was not easy and not satisfying. My first year since 2008 without any win. A reinvention of my putt is needed.. Using the next few weeks to sort out some stuff and making plans if or how to attack next year. This year showed that there is more to come if the focus is right - I don‘t want to be done yet.

Off the course, the experience with friends from all over the place has been incredible, thanks guys ❤️ Giving a word out to @discmaniadiscs - you guys are pushing the sport forward.
Ps: Having a Vice World Champion title under my belt still feels pretty cool!
See you around

The past week in Alutaguse, Estonia, at the World Team Disc Golf Championships has been one of the most demanding, heartbreaking, emotional, fun and best Disc Golf weeks ever. Disc Golf is an individual sport, yes.. but the way our German Team grew together day by day was incredible to see. We overcame some critical moments with some hitbacks as a team. Saying that, it was no surprise we handled the pressure situation we put ourself into against Austria in the semi-finals in an excellent way. Turning around many games in the last minute shows lot‘s of focus, desire and team spirit just to put ourself in the last and final match of the week: the Finals for Gold in a World Championships. Let this sink in for a second considering our young team. Just WOW! 😲
Scorewise we lost the Finals pretty clear. But in fact, things have been more tight than it looks. On another hand we shall respect the outstanding performance of Finland which were very hard to beat. Onnea!
On a personal note: the more tight the games went and the closer we got to the finals, the better my game got. Hitting puts and bulls-eye hits in pressure moments has been always the most fun for me. Doing this for our team and our country is even more satisfying - so many moments to remember! 👊🏻
Still a bit unhappy with my performance in the big Final, but couldn‘t get something going after an exhausting week unfortunately.

Big thanks to the German Team, you guys rock! Shout out to an incredible organizing team behind Timo & Charlie and to all the participants for the super fair and fun battles.
