Beyond grateful!
Our restaurant made the list. 🤍

We’re so honoured to share that Nui is a finalist for @aircanada ‘s Best New Restaurants 2026!

When we opened our doors, we hoped to create a place where people could enjoy the Korean flavours we grew up with and feel like part of the family. Seeing our restaurant on Main Street recognized alongside such talented teams across Canada means more than we can say.

To our guests, friends and neighbours, thank you for filling our seats, bringing someone you love and spreading the word. To our team, thank you for the heart and care you bring to Nui every day. We wouldn’t be here without you.

We’re now in the running for the #AirCanadaTop10, to be revealed in November. We hope you’ll keep cheering us on as this fun and meaningful journey continues.

NUI × Alvarez

What an incredible evening!

Chef Jefferson Alvarez, @chef_alvarez , lived up to his reputation and somehow managed to impress us even more. We learned so much from the OG.

The bold flavours of Korean and Latin American cuisine came together beautifully throughout the evening.

Thank you to everyone who joined us. You are the reason we continue pushing ourselves to create fun, unique and memorable experiences!

🆕-ISH! 🇰🇷 I finally made it to Nui @nuivancouver, meaning older sister in Korean, in Mount Pleasant, and I can see why this tiny neighbourhood spot has such a loyal following after only a year and a half (opened March 2025).

Chef-owner Jay Hwang @_jjhwang, who honed his skills at Maenam for eight years, brings traditional Korean flavours into a modern, minimalistic and refreshingly unpretentious setting. And a bonus, not everything tastes like gochujang, because as good as it is, guess what? Korean food is more than that.🫰🏻

The menu is tight, thoughtful and full of comfort, showcasing subtle and bold Korean flavours. Their signature gomtang, a humble, home-style clear pork bone broth with rice, is the kind of comforting, everyday Korean food that could easily be overlooked by those unfamiliar, but is exactly what makes it so special.

Some of my favourites are the tofu egg jjim and crispy seafood pancake jeon. Seasonal dishes keep things interesting, like the summer moolhwe with squid and an icy tomato-gochujang broth. Heartier options rotate and include a seafood rice bowl with lightly cured king salmon and roe, and galbi short rib with uni butter rice. The matcha and bokbunja (Korean fruit wine) slushy also go down too easily.

Everything feels modern yet familiar and made with care, without ever feeling precious; a restaurant style that feels homestyle. With fewer than 25 seats, Nui has the kind of independent, low-key charm I want to support and revisit. Korean food is having a moment, and restaurants like this are helping push it forward. taken in Mount Pleasant by @dom_yun

Nui x Singson Part II

Another one in the books.

A special dining experience brought to life by the talented chefs @marksingson , @_jjhwang , and @k.mcintosh .

From the first day of prep to the final plate of the night, the teamwork and dedication from the entire Nui team were nothing short of incredible. So proud and grateful for every one of you.

A huge thank you to all of our guests, both new and returning. You’re the reason we continue bringing these experiences back month after month.

Special thanks to @dinr.app for providing the marketing support and reservation platform.

New cocktails by @l.aurenpark were amazing. Soon to hit Nui’s regular drink menu starting this weekend.

And to @whentheyfindus , thank you for beautifully capturing the evening as always.

One of the best dining experiences of 2026.

Chef @pete_ho executed unreal flavours with superb quality of ingredients.

Hospitality was top notch as well, thanks @ash1ee and the team @sumibiyaki_arashi for taking care of us.

This one will linger on with me for days. And I am surely, definitely be coming back soon.

That’s a wrap!
So grateful for this team.
Mark was brilliant, leading the way from start to finish.
JJ, Mac and the entire Nui staff were outstanding.
Incredible job by Luis for capturing the special moments.

Thanks to all the guests who came in to show us love and support. Words cannot describe how grateful we are.

Mingles Seoul

Another big reason why we are here in Seoul.
Finale to our trip and it had to be at Mingles by chef Kang.

Food and Hospitality at their best.
Every single dish was executed to perfection.
Not a single blemish.
Perfection with absolute precision.
One of the best restaurant experiences I have ever had.
