Adopting from Domo's Friends is pretty straightforward. Whether it is domestically or internationally, the process is pretty much the same.

1. Fill out an adoption questionnaire
2. Schedule a teams interview
3. Make a final decision
4. Find a flight volunteer
5. Waiting time for flight
6. Fill out customs paperwork
7. Final phone call to review everything
8. Head to the airport and pick up!

If you are in Korea, we add a meet and greet step as well as a trial adoption period to the process.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask us below! by @domosfriends

Let's talk how much it costs to adopt a dog from us.

1. Adoption fees - Simple and straight forward. All boys are 250 and all girls are 350. This money is used to cover vetting costs like vaccinations, testing, spay and neutering. Does it cover everything we do? Nope. But for now, I am ok using my own money to cover the difference most of the time. Sometimes I also have amazing friends who help fundraise for me when we have special cases, like pumpkin and her kidney. If you are in Korea, this is the final cost.

But what if you are overseas in the US?

2. Flight Fees-
With a Flight volunteer = this is someone who is already going to the US on Korean Air or Asiana and has a ticket already. They agree to take the dog with them. The airline sets the fee so have to pay either 300 or 600 depending on the weight of the dog and crate. You can't pick a date and have to wait till we get a volunteer. Thus why we can only fly to certain cities.

3. Transport - the price to get someone (usually Nani) to take the dog to Incheon, check the dog in, and make sure all the paperwork is in order. The whole process usually takes around 5 to 6 hours. So gas, tolls, and paperwork = 175

4. Crates - this price depends on the size of the dog. A small dog like a maltese would be 50, a corgi or jindo (corgis are small but long bodies) would be 75, and over 20kg is usually either 100 or 125. You keep the crate. But dog needs a crate to fly

5. Customs Broker - this is the fee we have to pay to a broker in america to legally import dogs. We again have no choice as Customs requires it. So again, this fee is set by the brokers which is $225.

That's it! Our fees explained. If you have any questions, feel free to ask away by @domosfriends

🇰🇷 As many of you know, Chori and Mila are rescues from South Korea (thanks again @domosfriends for saving them!), and it looks like they still have a strong bond with their homeland because, well… the last thing we were expecting was to see them taking pictures with a K-pop group that stopped by to get some gelato while on tour in the US: @le_sserafim!

👶🏻 And this was actually their second visit! They had stopped by back in June, and when they came back this time, they remembered Serena and asked how the baby was doing.

🤣 They also remembered the corgis and, you know, as a famous group, people ask them for pictures all the time, but this time they were the ones asking us for pictures with the corgis. So… who are the real celebrities here? Haha!

📰 Their pictures with the dogs were later shared not only on their personal profiles, but also by @fronta_magazine, a South Korean digital media platform and magazine.

🌏 And it’s actually been quite fun receiving messages from friends on the other side of the world who are Le Sserafim fans, saying: “Wait… I know those corgis!”

🦊 We never imagined that two rescue corgis from South Korea would one day be recognized all the way back in their homeland!

Introducing Bella

Bella is a 3–4-year-old Welsh Corgi weighing about 11 kg, and she might just be one of the sweetest Corgis around. ❤️

Bella is gentle, affectionate, and loves people of all ages, including children. She’s a big fan of attention and cuddles, and if another dog is getting pets, don’t be surprised if Bella squeezes her way in too. 😂

🐶 A little about Bella:
• Sweet, calm, and very people-friendly
• Walks beautifully on leash
• Generally greets other dogs nicely
• Curious about cats, with no aggression seen
• Comfortable around traffic and loud city noises
• Rides calmly in the car and usually sleeps
• Very food motivated... so guard your snacks 😂
• Easy to handle and loves affection

Her foster says Bella has been incredibly easy to care for, and even her veterinarian commented that she is one of the calmest and sweetest Corgis they’ve met.

Bella is looking for a family ready to give this sweet little girl all the love and attention she happily asks for. ❤️

ADOPT MAE!

This sweet girl has been with us for almost her entire life, nearly two full years of watching her grow, learn, and fill our days with love.

Mae was rescued alongside her mom and sisters from a high-risk government shelter when she was just a puppy, and she’s been waiting for her forever family ever since.

At around 20–24 lbs, Mae is the perfect medium-sized sidekick. She’s equal parts sweet, playful, and affectionate. Because she’s lived in a rescue setting for so long, new environments can feel a bit overwhelming at first. She’ll do best with an patient adopter who can offer a gentle extra hand (and maybe a few treats!) while she settles in and gains her confidence. Once she knows she’s safe, her fun-loving personality shines right through.

Ready to make Mae a part of your family?

Hello Sebastian!

25 lbs of pure, unadulterated Corgi spite looking for a forever home. 🚜💥

Sebastian (1–2 years old) came to us from a government kill shelter probably after his previous owners realized that getting a Corgi puppy without actually training him results in a short-legged wrecking ball.

Their loss. Our daily chaos.

Sebastian is proof that big dog attitude packed into a low-rider chassis is a force of nature. He’s healthy, hilariously dramatic, and possesses the core strength of an Olympic weightlifter.

Energy Level: Off the charts. (He gets 4–6 hours of outdoor enrichment daily and still has energy left to drift his crate across the floor out of sheer spite).

Training Status: Work in progress! He has all the classic, untrained Corgi behavioral quirks—vocal, bossy, and zero respect for authority unless you earn it.

Vibe: Feral little monster with a heart of gold (somewhere under all that attitude).

Ideal Home:
Sebastian needs an experienced, confident handler who understands working breeds, loves stubborn personalities, and won't get intimidated by a dog who talks back. A secure yard and an active lifestyle are absolute musts.

If you're looking for a lazy lap dog, keep scrolling. If you want a hilarious, chaotic partner-in-crime who will keep you on your toes every single day—apply to adopt Sebastian!

Day 4 of the Week of Carl!

This sweet 5 to 6 year border collie really deserves a loving home. He is crate trained and surprisingly, not super barky. Doesn't mean he wont tell you when he wants something.

This week, we are all about Carl and trying to find his forever home!

Carl is a sweet 5-6 year old fluffy border collie who was found hanging out around some rice paddy fields and factories nearby, bouncing around place to place collecting food where he could. Now he is trapped with us until a loving family wants to give him a forever home.

We had a little mini photoshoot day with Carl and for the whole week, we are going to share with you some of the shots so you can get a feel for this sweetheart.
