POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

It's been 2 months now since my show Reminisce took place in @beauforthuis.austerlitz ✨️🥹

Let's reminisce (hehe) about what a wonderful, special, warm evening it was with these amazing pics made by @pinkjejo. 🔥

Swipe for a snippet of the show 👀❤️‍🔥 The last song of the set with the full band: Counting Down The Days. A composition I'm so proud of. One that came to life even greater than I had ever dared to imagine. 💭

Special thanks to everyone who helped me with this project; it was, and will always remain, a piece of my heart. ❤️

📢 P.S. Exciting news!!! I have chosen 3 full songs (including this one) from the show to release on my YouTube channel soon; nicely edited with a lovely mixed sound! So stay tuned for those 👀🌠

Band:
@linnealangmusic Linnéa Lang - Keys/Bvox 🎹🎤 (and my personal make-up artist 💅🏼😘)
@teleurstellinq Birthe Bonthuis - Fretless Bass 🎸
@drumsbyrick Rick Jansen - Drums/Percussion 🥁
@nout_mors Nout Morssinkhof - Electric/Acoustic Guitar 🎸
@roos_kneppers Roos Kneppers - Violin 🎻
@martagarvi15 Marta García Villalobos - Viola 🎻
@saraoliveira____ Sara Pitzalis Oliviera - Cello 🎻

The sweetest, amazing @thijs_alting Thijs Alting on sound 🎚
The coolest @bart_gessel Bart van Gessel on lights 🪄

And a special thanks to @muziektalentinbeeld, @jasperverburgh Jasper Verburgh and Peter Wieriks for capturing the show on video. 📽 //The video snippet is edited by Peter Wieriks. (draft/unmixed)//

An extra special thanks to Jasper for helping with the tech stuff and for being the best contact person ever! Rescheduling was way easier because of you. 💪🏼

And a loving shoutout and thanks to my coach @roosmarijnmusic who kept rekindling my sparkle and passion for music and who has been my biggest support in the process of making this show. ❤️

And last but not least: a huge thanks to everyone who came to the show. I was, and still am, so grateful that so many people showed up. The support I've gotten warms my heart 🥹✨️

Also, if you've missed the show and would like to see me and my band play: some exciting gigs are coming up 👀 Sep 13th and Nov 4th already confirmed. More info soon! 🏃🏽‍♀️ Much love, Donna 🥰

Sit and Stare is finally out into the world. ❤️🌎

This song goes way back. From writing it in my first year of Conservatory (2022), recording it in my second year (October 2023), letting it marinate for some time... to revisiting it together with Anna and giving it the last bit of love it still very much deserved.

Releasing this song to me, is the closure and reminiscing of my old writing process, people I used to play with, and my years at the conservatory. But most importantly: it has been the start of everything that came after it. 🪐✨️

This door has closed, but so many have opened in the meantime. I'm so excited to share all of my current music i've been working on with my lovely new band. Check them out in advance, beautiful people 🥰: @linnealangmusic @teleurstellinq @drumsbyrick 🔥

On to my graduation show, and hopefully a lot of fun gigs with my own, new project. 🕺🏽❤️ I hope to see you all there in June. Let's close the conservatory chapter together!

A big, warm, loving thank you and shout out to all the wonderful, sweet people and talented musicians who were a part of this project:

Drums 🥁: Samuel O'Connell @theholofernes
Electric Guitar 🎸: Nout Morssinkhof @nout_mors
Bass 🪕: Lila Ijzendoorn @lilaijzendoorn
Strings 🎻: Noa Staal @noastaalnl & Stavros Kampouroglou @stavroskab7

And if you listen to the song, thanks a lot. ❤️ I hope the message echoes a bit while you navigate through this busy life. "When you do stop to breathe, you will sense what it feels like to be." Don't forget to appreciate the magic in the tiniest of moments. I truly believe that that is exactly where we can all fall in love with living again.

Much love,

After a creative summer of recording music and film, I can officially share its release show and film premiere! 🎞️🎶

My band and I are more than excited to give a special show at dB’s on the 20th of November! Both songs are written with @nout_mors and recorded with my full band, drawing inspiration from Americana and Country: full of storytelling and emotion.

The songs felt so visual, I had to turn them into a cinematic world of symbolism and emotion. With an incredible crew and cast, a mix of old friends and new faces, we brought the story to life in a music film.

Support acts for the evening are @hester_music and @mailforsil !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
