Look after yourself, and others, at the RALLY today.

Our #MutualFuture wellbeing strategy consists of an event wellbeing plan, specialist teams on site, and an awareness campaign delivered by @dontbeacreep. We also run a post-event survey which informs future campaigns.

A festival can be a place of togetherness, compassion and care. It also creates risk felt most by marginalised communities and underrepresented people.

There is nothing more important than your wellbeing at RALLY. If something happens that affects it, or someone else’s - please follow these four steps.

MUTUAL FUTURE
WELLBEING STRATEGY
#RALLY2024

We can’t control people’s actions. We can, however, continually change our response to them. @thisisgala and @dontbeacreep launched a wellbeing strategy ‘Mutual Future’ in 2022 with a newly established Welfare Services and Response Team. This strategy is how we substantiate a zero tolerance policy to harassment, assault and abuse of any kind.

RALLY and Don’t Be A Creep are dedicated to creating a safe, harassment-free space for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, spiritual belief or religion (or lack thereof).

Together we choose a festival based on respect, inclusivity and escapism to take the experience to the next level. A space where we show kindness, patience and compassion, and remember that we all share a mutual future.

Please take a moment to read our four-step process ahead of the festival >>>>

At We Out Here Festival; We Only Have Now 💗

A festival built on foundations of family which extends to all attendees through our overriding sense of community. During overwhelming times, We Out Here is resistance through a celebration of joy and community.

By attending We Out Here you’re welcomed into our worldwide family. A place to be present and find joy in where you are, what you’re doing and who you’re with. At We Out Here we look out for one another to help make the festival a safe, positive and supporting place for everyone.

In collaboration with @dontbeacreep we present this year’s House Rules:

SUPPORT: If at any point you feel unsafe, uncomfortable, unhappy or stressed in a situation, our team is fully trained to support you. Our Welfare Tent is available for anyone in need of a space to sit, talk or take a time out. It’s signposted and located in the Main Arena next to Medical.

PERSONAL: our approach to any incident will be person-led. Behaviour we deem as disrespectful or disruptive to this community will result in education, eviction or police involvement - but most importantly - based on the wishes and needs of the person that has experienced harm.

COMMUNITY: Look out for one another, don’t be a passive bystander - we all have a role to play in making this space a safe one. If you see anyone in discomfort, please alert a member of staff and we can assist.

You are never alone at We Out Here, our team is here to provide you with the safety and support you need at any point; because We Only Have now.

Look out for the Don’t Be A Creep installation at We Out Here! 🎨

The concept of safer spaces is at the forefront of conversations about festivals and club culture at the moment – in that regard, @dontbeacreep are leading the way, making measurable impact in the scene.

For BUILDHOLLYWOOD, @_emmalwarren_ spoke to founder @rubysound and co-conspirator @maudechurchill about the ultra-creative grassroots campaign they've created to implement what Ruby calles 'house rules' – 'We run a household together, we run this space together, we’re a family.' taken in London, United Kingdom by @dontbeacreep

Wishing everyone a wicked time at GALA Festival this year!

If you do experience any issue of harassment please follow these 4 steps designed specifically to support and help you. Swipe left or scroll down for more info 💚

We can’t control people’s actions. We can, however, continually change our response to them. In collaboration with @thisisgala we launched the wellbeing strategy ‘Mutual Future’ in 2022 with a newly established Welfare Services and Response Team. This strategy is how GALA substantiate a zero tolerance policy to harassment, assault and abuse of any kind. In light of the success of last year, GALA are continuing to invest in increasing these services to ensure everything in our power is done to secure your wellbeing.

This year the strategy has been fully realised in the form of a pyramid installation on-site. Find it located as you enter the festival through the ticket gate. Here you can further acquaint yourself with the 4-steps to responding to incidents, as well as use it as a meeting point if and when you lose people in the dance.

GALA and Don’t Be A Creep are dedicated to creating a safe, harassment-free space for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, spiritual belief or religion (or lack thereof).
