Celebrating both #blackhistorymonth and #nationalpoetryday I want to share with you my final year university film - Proud [2019].

This is a project close to my heart, with the poem written by my mum ~18 years ago telling a message on how we explore our own acceptance in a world that can be anything but that.

I hope that for anyone who has experienced this or something similar that you can find it in you to be Proud of who you are.

Fun lil character test and behind the scenes! Did you know today marks 6 years since I first shared my short film Proud (who this character is from) at my university's film day, can't believe it!!

I wanted to revisit this character through Moho and explore the Mantis Shrimp features 👀

As always @inmotion.playgrounds was an amazing event and you can already count me in for next year 😁 I met soo many amazing people, had lots of great talks that now I'm just feeling inspired & excited for the future!! 💫

One of my biggest take aways is to literally get ✨in motion✨ share what you love, be passionate, stay true to who you are and get it out there, so I thought this mini get to “knowreel” reel is a good introduction to anyone who has recently met me and a reminder to those who already know me!

(Also please note as much as this reel makes me look like a disruptive audience member I can promise you that's not the reality 😆)

I have a lot of people to thank for this overflow of creativity, especially all the amazing and wonderful people I met whilst queuing who made the time fly by!! This year’s in motion in particular felt really open and raw compared to online where it’s hard not to browse over sanitised perfection or the typical corporate greys that try to dull who you are, so it's been a much needed change of pace which is just one of the reasons I love making time to come to these events! 😊💖

It's that time of year and I can't wait😊!! You can catch me at We Are Playgrounds on both days! 💫 Decided to an another outfit to the pool which you might recognise haha

I've been feeling soooo inspired lately and have been making an effort to set time aside to cook up some personal projects as you do need that creative balance between work!

I can't wait to attend this event for a 3rd time and get even more fired up for both this animation industry and community that I love! 🎨

...I may still have some stickers to give out 👀!!

Flock together!
After all what's an animal handler without his trusty Falcon 🦅?
Stumbled across this character duo whilst browsing and I'm so glad I landed on them as their designs are both so much fun!

100% Flesh...*Fresh Pizza

It's a good job the food hygiene ratings team hasn't passed by,,, (or maybe they've passed by in a different way) let's not look into the secret ingredient list for these pizzas 🍕🤤

Looove the story behind this character [ who belongs to Steakwheel (AF) ] and the world, I had sooo much fun reading through the character description!

The pictures don't do the scale justice as this felt sculpt stands at 28cm // ~11"in !! My biggest felt scuplt to date
It's also fully articulated and ready to cause some chaos in the kitchen, you can see the progress shots at the end ➡️👀

The character is mainly green and he has 6 green petals on his head, wears a blue tunic with a white apron tied around, big brown boots and has hands surrounded by 6 yellow petals, in one hand he holds a slice of pizza towards the viewer and the other hand is to his side. The character is placed in an empty pizza box against a black and white checkered background. by @donutdespair

Oh Rats! 🐀
Here's Rat creeping about trying not to get caught as she tries to seek a way out...

Character belongs to @gfitz_art
Such an interesting character and I love the way the hair is like a tail, what a cool concept!

I haven't animated this style before and it was pretty challenging trying to stick to my own "rules" but it was fun to experiment with it and now I know some ways I could push animating in this style further!

Get Stuffy'd!

What a super fun character with such colourful and chaotic vibes which are always a fantastic combo!

Character belongs to crab_roll (AF) who drew me an aaaamazing illustration of my character Drift and I had to get her back this year with this piece!

Are you ready for the Slumbering?!?! 😱
Turns out the rumours about summoning Hana-Marie were true!! and she's found herself invited to another slumber party 👻she still needs to work on her entrance skills so she doesn't keep scaring kids away but what's friendlier than a "Hi :3" from this ghost

Character belongs to Grendal (AF), they got me at the end of Art Fight last year with an amazing animated attack on my characters Erin and Gigi so I knew I had to get them back with something for this year's event!!

V for Veronica!

Such a cool character who belongs to @Jaden_Mangrum
Veronica's whole design and vibes are just 10/10

Kicking off some #artfight posting as well as it being nice to jump back into #pixelart after what feels like years even though it's only been a few months 😅
