Donut is a Detroit-based design studio founded by long-time friends and collaborators Ian Klipa and Jake Saphier. Keeping in the tradition of their region’s design and manufacturing heritage, they utilize the tools, and techniques of industry to create joyful furnishings. The studio celebrates the confluence of traditional fabrication as well as the efficiencies of modern technologies such as CNC cutting and forming. This approach allows Donut to create highly functional contemporary furnishings and accessories with time-honored materials and processes. All of Donut’s work is handcrafted from scratch in Detroit. by @donuthome.co
