The Let It Be Stage is proud to host Doo Crowder, Laura Goldhamer, & some special guests 👀 for a night to remember!

This evening is about the sort of nostalgia that keeps the heart pumping, the type of nostalgia that can lift spirits from the pit of despair. These sounds & worlds emerge from an old-old Denver, a magical place that still lives when we choose to sing & gather together 🌸🕊️🐈‍⬛🐇 Come & nourish your spirits!

Take care of each other,
Isaac

It’s felt so good to make music again with these boys. Come see @weirddreamband open for @officialclairemusic at @mannysstatecollege on Tuesday, 6/23- our first performance since my body began to eat itself whole.

Expect soundscapes and shouted poetry, jangly guitar, dank bass, and mysterious murmuring drumbeats. Only missing are the cats who are so central to our rehearsal. Can you come, Y/N

(We are soon to be Weeknight, Pennsylvania! We will play a new song called Weird Dream so you can hold steady through this transition.) by @doocrowder

hey! this weekend is @rhoneymeadefest
- time to get excited / nervous
(i’m gonna play too, on sunday morning)
get tix / schedule at rhoneymeadefest.com
if you haven’t been to one yet, it’s how i picture a futuristic (but sometimes ancient) rainbow gathering. like central PA big ears at a sculpture garden in a park on a farm where you have permission to dervish (or lay down on a blanket)

this song is this morning’s version of an old chorus (can be heard in the 2nd clip) called living proof. & may or may not keep it up after this weekend, who knows why some song (s) (parts)(/don’t) stick around. ill play some version of it i think- and some other “life songs” by @doocrowder

ok this is satire, “The White Nationalist Anthem”- unfortunately i have to clarify when so many are obsessed with the “great replacement” theory. groypers, neo-nazis, the richest man in the world, relatives et al. but especially the ones who devise the DHS plans & the congress that funds them by @doocrowder

ronnie van zant said if a song is good enough you’ll just remember it. no need to write it down or record a voice memo.
i’ll forget tho (even w/a simple song like this. the souls are too detailed to notate, there might be an important nanosecond here or there not on the beat & demos are always slightly different than the finished copy of copy versions) so I keep a tape recorder by my bed but when I played the tape later there was only empty hiss… smhdl I hate when that happens! I had a couple clues to retrieve it e.g. the melody/harmony’s moves definitely resembled yoko’s ‘yes, I’m your angel’ but pretty sure it was a good bit different- I’ll never know but this one’s as simple as can be! It’s fine too…

re: the video, in 2021 it was only when a friend of mine died that I realized I didn’t have any pictures of us together, so I got on a thing for a while of taking pictures together with my friends- I recommend it! (if you don’t already) tho it can be awkward get pictures with your friends & them. You’re grateful for it later

come to manny’s on weds if you get a notion, & I’ll play this song for you:)) by @doocrowder

💫WED MAR 18 — STACKED NIGHT🪐 AT @mannysstatecollege

✨An adventurous and ambitious lineup to say the least-> folk, experimental string music, hand-made instruments - sounds from all corners. Five unique sets — music starts at 7PM sharp!

Presented by @gorintoproductions // All Ages // Tickets in Bio or mannysstatecollege.com

Liam Grant
A rising voice in the American primitive guitar tradition, @liamgrant.a.p.g channels the spirit of artists like John Fahey and Robbie Basho while carving out his own hypnotic path. His playing is deeply rooted in folk and blues fingerstyle but stretches into expansive, meditative soundscapes that feel both ancient and exploratory.

Sam Boston
@sboston2 brings a raw, soulful approach to acoustic music— weaving together folk storytelling, country blues textures, and improvisational energy. His performances feel intimate and spontaneous, with a deep respect for traditional forms and a willingness to bend them.

Doo Crowder (Local Support)
@doocrowder is the best there is. Check out their latest release - avant pop dada silly beautyness

Rumble & Scream
@rumbleandscream is a post-industrial folk-rock band from Holy Crick, Pennsylkrainia. On stage as a duo, they mix electric guitars and drums with synthesizers and environmental samples to bring the noise or set the scene accordingly. Frontman Lattimore Scream, a third-generation Ukrainian-American hillbilly-bard, often tells his family folklore in place of stage banter through monologues and narrative poetry. You’ll leave saying: Slava Pennsylkrainia! Glory to Holy Crick!

YY Dee Duo
A mesmerizing blend of Chinese harp @yy_dee_ (guzheng) and ambient electronics. Analog sound bath~ taken in Manny's Live Performance Space by @doocrowder

Recently i saw the may pang movie,
which inspired this shrill screed of a song haha

at one point john says “if we believe in anything we believe in love”
(I might be paraphrasing him) /
but why bother dunking on the small non-love contingent?
that was the point i suppose, the golden rule seemed
self evident, worth paying lip service to by the majority
the christians and the nationalists

but when rephrased as the question “is love the only engine of survival?” survey said only 46%

& when his wings enfold you
do you yield to
him, Though the sword hidden among his
pinions may wound you?

less than 10%
i’ll try honey, i was just venting. might delete later by @doocrowder

*all the trigger warnings* for this and the other songs

If you’ve been watching the news (or not) you’ve likely heard about this Jeff Epstein character (the more i learn about him the less i care for him!)

less well known but no less repugnant was a man named J Larpstein. He also died in jail under mysterious circumstances, & his life had some other unsavory parallels with Epstein’s

This song, from the abridged 2025 version of my musical “conspiracy theist” which tells some of Larpstein’s story (full version to come soon), is called “watch the trail and cry”. on the album it’s sung by the Crime Minister- someone who may resemble another nasty character in Virginia Roberts Guiffre’s memoir- but sometimes i like to sing it because without agency to bring about justice or the power to get revenge, telling(/singing) the story can be some bit of relieving, & the best thing available by @doocrowder

There was a song called “were you there” that I’d hear & sing at church.
were you there when they crucified the lord
sometimes it causes me to tremble
tremble tremble

& years ago I felt that way (sound-wise) about the 2nd gulf war. (Among others) But that one seemed grotesque because they used the anger & grief from 9/11 to get support for it.
it was a scam & then doubling down,
America rewarded the perpetrators with another term in 2004.
Old bacon heart Cheney and bush junior- that silver tongued devil-
But if the voters hadn’t enabled them
it wouldn’t have been so disheartening
That’s the admin that started ICE with the homeland security act in 2002- i’ll maybe finish this story later, but for now you can listen if you’d like

this is an old song, “murder”

@shanavorhauer’s helped me make a bunch of videos but i don’t post them because of various dysmorphias- singing, writing, head et al hence the fx in this video. it’s dumb but i’ll keep trying! maybe in the next one i’ll be naked again by @doocrowder
