It’s felt so good to make music again with these boys. Come see @weirddreamband open for @officialclairemusic at @mannysstatecollege on Tuesday, 6/23- our first performance since my body began to eat itself whole. Expect soundscapes and shouted poetry, jangly guitar, dank bass, and mysterious murmuring drumbeats. Only missing are the cats who are so central to our rehearsal. Can you come, Y/N (We are soon to be Weeknight, Pennsylvania! We will play a new song called Weird Dream so you can hold steady through this transition.)

AMOK & OK at Rhoneymeade Fest! 6/5 at Manny's - see you soon at the best fest! Amok & OK emerged from the friendship and sonic dynamism of clarinetist Amy Zuidema and multi-instrumentalist Bubba Crumrine. Their compositions embrace unapologetic, raw emotion and alchemize it into otherworldly sonic terrains through improvisation, colliding ethereal ambience with the intensity of noise to transform each performance into a singular, cathartic experience. The ethos of Amok & OK is rooted in queer identity, curating safe inclusive spaces, and breaking free from the imprints thrust upon us. 💫WED MAR 18 — STACKED NIGHT🪐 AT @mannysstatecollege ✨An adventurous and ambitious lineup to say the least-> folk, experimental string music, hand-made instruments - sounds from all corners. Five unique sets — music starts at 7PM sharp! Presented by @gorintoproductions // All Ages // Tickets in Bio or mannysstatecollege.com Liam Grant A rising voice in the American primitive guitar tradition, @liamgrant.a.p.g channels the spirit of artists like John Fahey and Robbie Basho while carving out his own hypnotic path. His playing is deeply rooted in folk and blues fingerstyle but stretches into expansive, meditative soundscapes that feel both ancient and exploratory. Sam Boston @sboston2 brings a raw, soulful approach to acoustic music— weaving together folk storytelling, country blues textures, and improvisational energy. His performances feel intimate and spontaneous, with a deep respect for traditional forms and a willingness to bend them. Doo Crowder (Local Support) @doocrowder is the best there is. Check out their latest release - avant pop dada silly beautyness Rumble & Scream @rumbleandscream is a post-industrial folk-rock band from Holy Crick, Pennsylkrainia. On stage as a duo, they mix electric guitars and drums with synthesizers and environmental samples to bring the noise or set the scene accordingly. Frontman Lattimore Scream, a third-generation Ukrainian-American hillbilly-bard, often tells his family folklore in place of stage banter through monologues and narrative poetry. You’ll leave saying: Slava Pennsylkrainia! Glory to Holy Crick! YY Dee Duo A mesmerizing blend of Chinese harp @yy_dee_ (guzheng) and ambient electronics. Analog sound bath~

Happy two year anniversary, sweet baby Secret Planet State College. @gorintoproductions and Co are celebrating two years of what has been a life defining cultural exchange, routing artists from all over the world to Central PA in partnership with our friends and mentors of the Secret Planet curatorial network spread across the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic. Incubated at @3dotsdowntown , now home at @mannysstatecollege , Secret Planet wouldn’t be here without the support of our loved ones, our neighbors, the curious, and those looking for home in a far flung place. Artists come here, artists stay here. We are artists hosting artists. We turn down beds, share coffee, break bread. People dance, revel, laugh, weep. Our community fills streets and parks and bonafide venues and community spaces and bars. We enter into long term connection with these artists, and many return again. They feel at home here, and our community sees themselves being seen. Not everyone pictured here is still alive. Anniversaries are also moments to hold dear the ones whose lives have brushed against our own, and ours against theirs, who are no longer here with us. How enduring is their memory in this funny crossroads right in the middle of Pennsylvania. To many more beds to turn down, sheets to wash, coffee to brew, stages to set. Keep filling these rooms, now more than ever. Music is a language of understanding all its own. Join us tomorrow at the conclusion of this week of celebration featuring @puuluupband - but stay in touch with all things @mannysstatecollege and @rhoneymeadefest - there is so much yet to come. Thanks to @3dotsdowntown @paartscouncil @pahumanities @statecollegepa @rhoneymeade @downtownstatecollege @happyvalleypa @hotelstatecollege @boalcitybrewing @bigspringspiritsbellefonte and so many more partners for your support of this heart work.
