japanese small plates + wine pairings? say less🍷🇯🇵

a little look at Maison Natsukashii in hong kong — intimate, nostalgic, and made for slow evenings. we were so surprised with the pickled daikon, not usually a fan of pickles but this one tasted so fresh with yuzu vinegar with white wine!

here’s what we had:
• pickled daikon
• crudités
• bolognese rice
• beef cheek
* minimal one bottle order per two people *

save this for your next date night or girls’ night out 👀
📍49 Gough Street, Sheung Wan

thank you @maison_natsukashii !

🍻 new yakitori spot just dropped in CWB. $580 for an 18-course omakase with 10 different parts of chicken, ice cold beer, low-key izakaya vibes — solid way to spend a chill evening

🥢 MY RECS: dry-aged pigeon, chicken wings, and tsukune (minced chicken) with egg yolk, white chicken broth

okay new cafe unlocked 🤫

tucked in central’s graham street, this spot serves up pretty latte art and cheese cloud latte! 🍵

soy cheesecake had a strong soy flavour (which i actually loved) — not too sweet too. also tried the avocado salmon sourdough — solid savoury option if you’re hungry.

coffee’s made with @olait_hk 🤍

stop scrolling — I found THE hidden gem for basque burnt cheesecake 🤫🔥

soft, creamy and lava-like inside, with that caramelized top. the seasonal JASMINE flavour was a pleasant surprise — SO RICH, might honestly be the best cheesecake flavour i’ve ever had 👀

coffee was smooth and strong too (made with @olait_hk milk!), and i finally tried the iconic mont blanc — super unique and worth a try!
