⚠️ warning: you will look like someone from Whoville if you’re not an appropriate candidate/ if your injector uses too many units/ injects the wrong area

👩🏻‍⚕️so this one should def be left to the trained professionals and not something you try to do to yourself (idc if you’re sick of me saying that, DYI injectables will forever live rent free in my head)

professional, but unserious 🤣

i have seen this patient for most of her filler treatments since 2021, but she did see another provider in that time

she came to me recently because she wasn’t happy with the way that her filler aged in her lips. this could be from something i did back in the day, something another provider did more recently, a combination of both, who knows

what we did know was that her top lip shape wasn’t it 🙂‍↔️

so we dissolved a few weeks ago. today, i grabbed my ultrasound to see if i could decipher between her normal anatomy or a small amount of product left over in one part of her lip 🕵🏻‍♀️

instead, we found lots of vessels; bunch of land mines in there 😅

so we spent today investigating and exploring in order to figure out our next move. which she was on board with doing. ultrasound is SO MF COOL

✋🏽first of all - ignore the mark on my forehead 😂 i was face down at an acupuncture appointment (don’t do that right after tox btw)

🫵🏽 back to you -

stop asking this. if there’s something you notice, let’s talk. but for a provider to analyze your face for something it “needs” is a wild concept to me

if you’ve done a few areas of tox, and are asking me about other areas you can treat, that’s education. but i won’t be saying “hey you normally do your forehead but your neck looks haggard” (i mean, if we’re REALLY close, i may hint at considering a more comprehensive approach 😂)

but at your consult, that’s not the time for me to make you feel like you need a new face and a small personal loan to cover it. it’s about going over your options, which should include remembering to love yourself through all the versions. smooth foreheads or not 🫶🏽 taken in Northborough, Massachusetts by @dosedrx

🩻 ultrasound isn’t where you start

🦴 you start by learning anatomy, respecting the anatomy, and becoming confident with a needle. but eventually, another course teaching you more of what you already know may not be the thing that takes you to the next level

🔬 ultrasound is expensive, it’s another skill set entirely, and i don’t think every injector needs to invest in it right now

👩🏻‍⚕️ but for me, this felt like the right next step. being able to actually see what’s happening beneath the skin, and combining that information with my experience, will elevate my skills more than another injection course could

📚 will i still continue to learn from my peers? absolutely. ultrasound in conjunction with continued education is what i feel will make me an even better injector

🫡 i really do believe this is where aesthetics is going, and i’m taking learning it seriously

idk how it happened but all of my patients could be actresses as a side gig 🤣

with the hundreds of policies we have in place, DOSED RX has been able to attract patients that respect us, and themselves. but some of the stories I hear ?! 🙊

do you recognize the treatment? 🔍

what you want to treat: texture, acne, scarring, dullness, overall tone, skin laxity, fine lines, the appearance of pores

what you get: smoother, firmer, glowing skin
safe all year round, but with summer coming to an end it gives us even more of a reason to lock in and take our skin treatments seriously 🫡

in a world where people may believe that filler is their only option, i have phone storage full of tox before and afters that showcase the power of a WELL DONE neurotoxin treatment

not all tox is good tox. if you’re worried about being botched, that’s because you’ve seen what happens when it can go wrong. but the tox that goes SO right, is the tox you don’t even know was done
