Jiu-Jitsu is not just a fight… it’s transformation. 🥋🔥

It’s where the weak learn they can be strong.
Where the anxious learn to breathe.
Where the lost find direction.

On the mats, there are no lies.
You either evolve… or you learn.
And in the end, both make you grow.

Jiu-Jitsu changes lives because it confronts you every single day.
It shows you your limits… and then proves they were smaller than you thought.

It teaches discipline when you don’t feel like training.
It teaches humility when you think you know it all.
And it gives you confidence… not the loud kind, but the quiet, solid kind that no one can take away.

For a child, it’s a foundation.
For an adult, it’s direction.
For many, it’s salvation.

It’s not about hurting someone.

Today we took the kids to the park for something different…
Jiu-Jitsu, self-defense, games, and a lot of positive energy.

Jiu-Jitsu goes way beyond the mats.

Another successful event at Double Five Carlsbad.

Tonight, I had the privilege of leading a special self-defense seminar for an incredible group of women. Seeing so many strong individuals come together to learn, grow, and challenge themselves was truly inspiring.

Self-defense is not about aggression.
It’s about awareness, confidence, and preparation.

When you learn how to protect yourself, you don’t just gain techniques.
You gain posture.
You gain presence.
You gain confidence.

At Double Five Carlsbad, our mission is to create a safe environment where everyone can grow stronger physically and mentally.

Thank you to every woman who showed up and trusted the process. This is just the beginning.

Today I had the honor of teaching Jiu-Jitsu to this incredible group of U.S Marines.
Men and women who dedicate their lives to protecting this country 🇺🇸

Thank you for the trust, discipline, and energy on the mats.
Jiu-Jitsu is more than just a martial art. It builds character, strengthens the mind, develops self-control, and prepares you for real-life situations.

It’s a privilege to share this art with those who serve something bigger than themselves.

Scissor Sweep → Defense → Collar Drag -> Armbar

Last Saturday was a truly special day. Our belt promotion at Double Five Carlsbad was a huge success and a moment we will always remember. In September, we completed one year of our academy, and seeing everything we’ve built together fills my heart with gratitude.

First and foremost, thank God. Everything starts with Him.

I want to thank my partners Tommy and Ashley for this journey together — for the trust, commitment, and belief in our vision from day one.

A special thank you to all the black belt professors who were present. Your support, respect, and presence meant a lot to us.

To our students, thank you for trusting us, showing up, and giving your best every day. You are the heart of Double Five Carlsbad. This year was incredible because of you.

I also want to thank everyone who supported us from the beginning, even behind the scenes. Many people helped us get here, and I will always be grateful.

Congratulations to all the graduates. You earned every belt and every stripe. Be proud of your journey.

This is just the beginning. Next year will be even better, and every year our graduations will continue to grow stronger. We look forward to continuing this path together with all of you.
