*NGD* Royal Blue Colt 1911. Stunning. Unfortunately the hulk at the Colt plant really hossed up on the grip screws, exit 2 grip bushings. Other than that and it seems like a winner. by @doubletap_1911

Manganese Phosphated Tisas by Jolly Roger

This is a copy of @old_path_traveller 'Blue' Tisas. I decided to make a copy for myself, as it was in his early YouTube videos and was the 1911 that inspired me to start growing my 1911 collection.

I originally Cold Blued it, although the original was rust blued. It was my first go at cold bluing and I was so so with the results.

OPT recently phosphated his one and now its going to a new home. Mine was an obvious choice to upgrade and @jolly_roger_overland Manganese Phosphated it, as I already had two others that he had Hot Salt Blued.

The Manganese Phosphate looks superb on this Tisas. I think it looks the best of the three. by @doubletap_1911

Hot Salt Blued Rock Island by Jolly Roger

This old style Rock Island was originally in Nickel, but had not led a charmed life. I tuned the internals, sand blasted the Nickel and cold blued it.

I kept some of the parts in Nickel and it made for a nice contrast. It looked good, but didnt look as good as it fired. I chose this for Hot Salt Bluing by @jolly_roger_overland and now it looks superb.

Hot Salt Blued Tisas by Jolly Roger

I originally Cold Blued this older Tisas 1911 and was impressed with the way it looked. I wanted a darker, more permanent Bluing and my friend @jolly_roger_overland provides a Hot Salt Bluing and Phosphate service.

He treated three of my 1911's that had been cold blued. If your looking for an affordable and quality service, check him out.

2,064 miles were traveled to survive monsoon rains, just to learn and train with some of the top shooting instructors around. Was it worth it? Heck yes! Met incredible, supportive folks with whom I’m proud to be friends with. I was welcomed into the group of fellow Degenerates. Can’t wait until next year! by @doubletap_1911
