Last stage of the day, I encountered Travel Problems. Tired, hungry, and ready to go home, I solved the issue as quick as I could.

Thanks @doubletap_1911 for the great cleaning products that keep my guns running. @tier1concealed and @koreessentials keep my gun and gear secure and in easy reach, so that when I need them, I have them.

Headed out to the 100 Club Sporting Clay Tournament!!!!! It’s a cool 53 degrees with a windchill of 47 degrees, with clear skies. Heck yes! Another great day to be shooting. Staying warm with some delicious Ignis Lux coffee.

Sixgun Saturday
Another Revolver Fest adoption.
A beautiful, extremely well-preserved 1944 Colt Officer’s Model .22LR, Kings front mirror sight, vintage stag and pristine original stocks. The action is insanely smooth. Ordinarily, I might not opt for gold appurtenances, however, an exception was made in this special case.

It’s another Forty Five Friday, the best day on the gram.
I don’t show this Wilson Combat X-TAC enough love so I took a few extra pics today. This was my first “high end” 1911 and it has ties to two very good friends, one who has since passed away.
This gun was special ordered by a friend who was working at Classic Pistol in Southampton PA, for a friend who I shot competition with for many years. I’m pretty sure it was ordered with just about every option available back in 2012. Fast forward to about 2017 when I was working at Classic Pistol. My shooting buddy came in to put the gun on consignment and when I took it out of the Wilson Combat pistol bag, it was love at first feel. Needless to say it never made the consignment case and my love for 1911’s was ignited.

RIP Nick. I miss you buddy.

We got the blues today…all Colt beauties. As usual, hit them with that blued maxx.

*NGD* Royal Blue Colt 1911. Stunning. Unfortunately the hulk at the Colt plant really hossed up on the grip screws, exit 2 grip bushings. Other than that and it seems like a winner.

2,064 miles were traveled to survive monsoon rains, just to learn and train with some of the top shooting instructors around. Was it worth it? Heck yes! Met incredible, supportive folks with whom I’m proud to be friends with. I was welcomed into the group of fellow Degenerates. Can’t wait until next year!
