How do you perform the worst place a person could ever be?

On this set, two actors played two parts that thread through the entire story. But the stage in Mexico was one node in something bigger: crews all around the world, all feeding the same edit.

Howard Storm's account runs the full arc: he died, experienced hell, was saved, was taken to heaven, had his questions answered, and then was sent back. Recreating that story on set, you feel the weight of it.

Lesson: some stories do not need dramatizing, they need witnessing.

Film school says motivate every light source. NDE survivors describe a light that does not come from a light.

The character who went into the void was saved, so we also filmed the Meeting God scenes: two actors playing two parts that thread through the whole film, and a light no fixture can literally produce.

Some briefs cannot be executed literally. You aim for what the witness felt.
