“If you see something, say something”

So when are we going to hear from those of you who voted for Trump?

Did you not see us fire a missile at two people clinging to the remains of their sinking boat?
Did you not see Trump promising billions in aid to Argentina while his supporters in Congress said there was no money to extend the healthcare subsidies?
Do you really believe that ICE is going after dangerous criminals when they are abducting day laborers in Home Depot parking lots?
Do you not see that what ICE is doing is the same thing that “disappeared” so many in Chile?
Do you not see that the “Big Beautiful Bill” gives huge tax breaks to the wealthy and only crumbs to you?
Do you not see that all his talk of trimming waste in government resulted in hardly any savings but cost thousands of jobs?
Do you not see that, far from draining the swamp, with Elon Musk and others he brought in a new set of alligators?
Do you not see that he has no plan for health care, jobs or housing?
Can you not see a difference between the chaotic ramblings of his late night rants and the beautiful, thoughtful, inspiring speeches of others such as Dr. King?

When will you speak up?
This is not about Biden.
This is not about what was right or wrong before.
This is about now.
What you believe in.
Calling out what you know in your heart is not right.

Yes, one voice seems a small thing, but silence is deadly.
Don’t be the person who thinks others will call the police.
Don’t be the person who says, I knew something about it seemed off
but I didn’t want to make a scene.

You matter. You can save a country. by @dougcoffin

Poetrщry collects the thoughts and memories that might have been lost; the old lady on the third floor walk up in Astoria; the best bowl of lentil soup you ever had; the time you learned why they were laughing at you. It’s all in books, preserved for the right time, when you open it up and read.

Come hear us all on December 9th at 7pm @v0lume_tw0 in New Haven. Get your own copy in the bio.
