A little after/before of the Sunroom at my Peacock Lane project in Mountain Brook. Originally an open porch, at some point some very unfortunate aluminum windows were clumsily fitted into the arches. My clients desired the space as a year-round room, so we had custom windows created to fill the openings. @ogleconstruction did an amazing job salvaging the original clinker brick (which we soda blasted on the interior to remove multiple layers of paint) and rebuilt the openings and arches to accommodate the new windows. This house turns 100 this year, and it should be good for another century! #douglascdavis taken in Mountain Brook, Alabama by @douglascdavisllc

A new speculative urban infill project in Carrollton, Georgia ready for a new owner. I designed this house with instant history and I’m so pleased with how it turned out. Great work by the good folks at BuildSouth. I’m excited for another DCD house to take shape just down the street. #douglascdavis taken in Carrollton, Georgia by @douglascdavisllc

The only thing I love more than a faux real-shuttered opening, is a climbing rose. My Franklin, TN clients are making this couple years old DCD house look as timeless as intended. #douglascdavis taken in Franklin, Tennessee by @douglascdavisllc
