POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

A week ago I was lining up after six months of dedicated training to run back to back races in @snowbird Utah. The @speedgoatmtnraces are known as perhaps the toughest 30k and 50k in America. Friday was 20miles and over 6,000 feet of climbing and Saturday was 33miles and over 11,000 feet of climbing.

I’m not that fast, nor that talented (especially with my poles) but I did the work, showed up healthy and then for both races just kept moving forward- up mountains, over snow, across boulder fields and along ridges. Over 100,000 steps later- I finished both races.
Trail running is a hard joy- kinda like life. I appreciate @drtimvanmeter for crewing and @cutlerandrews for sharing this challenge and @krissymoehl for being such a great coach.
And to all the folks out there who suffered together- thanks for being a part of such a memorable and deeply fulfilling journey.

Also a big thanks to the folks who make the gear that allows mortals to get through these wild places

Heard about the new @raide.research LF 5L vest on @runsingletrack and knew I needed one for upcoming @speedgoatmtnraces but it was sold out and race is 3 weeks away!

Thankful @skyrun_co had some in stock and here we go. Amazing fit and capacity and SO light with no bounce. So excited to use this in the mountains. taken in Kennesaw, Georgia by @dougship

Emory alumni returned to campus to share insights with students at the Law, Government, and Social Impact Networking Night. It was a strong close to a season of connections 👏 — from Green Networking Night to Media, Arts & Communication. Thank you to our alumni and friends who showed up to support students and help shape what’s next. 💙💛
