🏁 BE AGGRESSIVELY SMOOTH.

Imagine having a full cup of water sitting on your dashboard every time you hit the track.

How much water would you have left after one lap? 💦

One thing we teach at Downforce Coaching is that being fast doesn’t mean being violent with the car.

Hard braking, quick steering inputs, and aggressive throttle application all have their place, but the way you transition between them is what separates a fast driver from a great one.

The goal isn’t to drive slow enough to keep the water in the cup. It’s to drive as fast as possible without upsetting the car.

As I always say, BE AGGRESSIVELY SMOOTH.

Smooth doesn’t mean slow. Smooth means controlled.

Sometimes as a coach you have to do more than tell someone what’s possible, you have to go out and show it.

Danny Weller’s fastest autocross run at Laguna Seca ended up being top time of the day out of the entire field while running in the Outlaw class.

Danny has spent a lot of time driving, testing and learning the C8 platform, and this was one of those runs where it all came together.

That’s a big part of what we believe in at Downforce Coaching. Our coaches aren’t just standing on the sidelines telling drivers what to do. They’re out there doing it too, constantly pushing themselves and learning so they can be better coaches for the people they work with.

Pretty damn proud of this one. 🤘

When you race as husband and wife, keeping track of whose gear is where is just part of the weekend chaos. 😂

Luckily, Danny is a lot better at coaching than he is at keeping track of his fire suit. Downforce Coaching is the Official Coaching Partner of DriveUSCA, helping drivers build confidence, improve their skills, and get faster behind the wheel.

With these fuel prices, we’re about to start towing the tow pig with the race car. 😂🏁

Anybody know the tow rating on a C8 Z06? Asking for a friend.
